The built-in programs cover the most common musculoskeletal indications from the neck to the shoulder, elbow, and wrist all the way to thoracic, hip, knee, and foot problems.
Typical examples: rotator cuff tendonitis (acute/chronic), calcific tendinitis, tennis/golfer's elbow, tunnel syndromes, patellofemoral syndrome, patellar tendinopathy, tibial periostitis, Achilles tendon problems, plantar fasciitis, heel spur, Morton’s neuralgia, as well as delayed bone healing as an adjunct therapy.
The software organizes the list by anatomical regions for quick and clear selection.
The operator sets pressure (1–5 bar) and frequency (1–20 Hz) according to the selected protocol or customized scheme; the handpiece display shows real-time pressure.
Load is monitored by the shock count counter (100–9900); Run Time indicates ongoing treatment, and Auto Start streamlines workflow.
The device uses a color touch tablet as the user interface, and the handpiece's integrated LCD provides key data directly in the therapist's hand.
Two channels are available (not for simultaneous use), with two handpiece holders on the side for quick instrument exchange.
Various transmitters are available based on therapeutic target and tissue depth – offering different energy concentrations by diameter and geometry:
For mobility and service across multiple rooms, carts (Shockwave Transport Trolley, Easy Go Cart) and an extra handpiece are available.
The device is a medical device with CE certification; treatments must be performed exclusively by qualified healthcare professionals with appropriate indication and dose range. Detailed treatment and maintenance instructions can be found in the enclosed manuals.
