The full energy of 3Mhz ultrasound is absorbed superficially by the skin. In professional cosmetic practice, 3Mhz ultrasound is used for skin treatment (like the IPS device).

Note! 1Mhz ultrasound is mainly used for musculoskeletal or joint problems, penetrating up to 10-15 cm deep. With 1Mhz ultrasound, only a small portion of energy affects the skin; most penetrates deeper tissues, with minimal skin effect.
