StimVet 4000 electrotherapy device

The StimVet 4000 is a muscle and pain relief electrostimulation device designed for small animals (cats, dogs) and horses. In veterinary rehabilitation and physiotherapy, electric current is used for two main purposes: reducing pain sensation and stimulating excitable tissues (muscles). Electricity promotes analgesia via membrane hyperpolarization according to the Gate Control theory, as well as increased hyperemia and higher levels of morphine-like mediators.
