Asthma

Asthma (asthma bronchiale) is a chronic lung disease. The mucous membrane of the bronchi swells, becomes inflamed, the smooth muscles constrict spasmodically, and the airways narrow. Breathing becomes difficult.

Using ultrasonic atomization, it releases 25-30000 µg of salt per hour, creating air similar to that in a salt cave in your home. The salty air is safe for all ages (consider the crowds living by salty seaside air).
Salty air has long been used as a natural complementary therapy for COPD, asthma, colds, rhinitis, and respiratory allergies due to its beneficial effects.

Asthma (asthma bronchiale) is a chronic lung disease in which the mucous membrane of the bronchi swells, becomes inflamed, the smooth muscles in the walls contract spasmodically, causing the airways to narrow. This leads to difficulty in breathing.

If allergic or asthmatic diseases occur in your family, you may be more prone to asthma than others. However, it is not "guaranteed" that you will develop it even if your parents are asthmatic.

If you have asthma, your airways are almost constantly inflamed. Sometimes symptoms are bearable, then they intensify in attacks.

Asthma attacks are usually triggered by some external factors.

  • In allergic asthma, triggers include allergens such as pet dander, dust, mites, or pollens.
  • Non-allergic types of asthma are mostly caused by smoke, air pollution, cold air, strenuous exercise, or weather changes.

Development of asthma and airway changes

Although asthma is considered a chronic condition, treatment can prevent repeated attacks, worsening of the condition, and improve your quality of life. The most common treatment is prescribed by a doctor and usually contains steroids. Most often you receive it in an inhaler, so the active ingredients quickly reach the airways. Since asthma is chronic, long-term use of medications may lead to side effects.

However, there are medication-free and side effect-free alternative treatments that can prevent or reduce asthma attacks. You can also use them during acute attacks. Alone, they are not sufficient, but they will support the effect of inhalers.

Salt therapy – preventing asthma

If you have spent time at the seaside, you might have noticed that your troublesome asthma seems to "disappear" unnoticed just by breathing the salty sea air.

Salt therapy mainly helps prevent asthma attacks but also assists in asthma treatment. Microscopic salt particles (smaller than 5 microns) are inhaled into the lungs with the air. They adhere to the mucous membrane of the airways, destroy pathogens, neutralize allergens, dissolve mucus, and reduce inflammation. The salty air strengthens your “airway immune system.”

Experience shows that regular salt therapy significantly reduces asthma attacks. Daily use frees you from irritants and pathogens inhalable at home or work that settle on your mucous membranes. This is a big advantage, as these are known causes of allergic asthma. Your breathing will be easier and your well-being will improve.

The longer you stay in the salt mist, the stronger the effect.

For home use, I recommend the SaltDome ultrasonic compression therapy unit. Operate it near your head for 3-6 hours or even overnight while you sleep. It envelops you in beneficial salt mist. Don’t worry, it won’t harm your furniture or electronics, but it will help a lot against your asthma.
