The radiofrequency device is effectively used to reduce wrinkles on the face, neck, and décolleté area, as well as for the treatment of stretch marks.
- RF (radiofrequency) is a form of energy applied through bipolar electrodes to treat the skin tissues.
- RF waves penetrate 2-4 mm into the layers of the skin.
- The goal of treatment with a radiofrequency device is to increase the temperature of a specific area above normal levels by energy transfer.
- This increase in heat accelerates blood circulation in the treated area, improving the oxygen concentration and metabolism in the tissues, which enhances collagen production in the skin.
- As a result of radiofrequency treatment, the tightness of collagen fibers increases, making the skin more elastic and firm. (At normal body temperature, collagen loses elasticity, but above 40 degrees Celsius, its firmness improves.)
- RF treatment is also excellently applicable for stretch mark therapy.
- Stretch marks occur when the skin is overstretched (during pregnancy, rapid weight gain, or rapid muscle growth), causing some collagen fibers to tear and scars to form in their place.
- Thanks to RF treatment, the tension of the skin around stretch marks can be reduced, which aids tissue regeneration and restoring normal condition.
- RF treatment is contraindicated—similar to other electrotherapy treatments—in patients with a pacemaker; it is also forbidden to use on skin areas affected by skin diseases or severe varicose veins, and should not be applied on the abdomen during menstruation.
- The effects of RF treatment are visible after just one session, but at least 3 sessions are recommended to achieve proper results.
- The effects of RF treatment last for a few weeks, after which treatments need to be repeated!
