Devices by Treatment Purpose
Many devices may be suitable for treating a specific problem, but the choice matters. For example, a TENS device might be good for reducing knee pain, but it won’t help strengthen weakened leg muscles. So while the pain may temporarily ease, it will return unless you strengthen the leg muscles that stabilize the knee.
However, a TENS device is not suitable for this; instead, sports, rehabilitation ergometers, or muscle stimulators are the right tools.
In this group, devices are categorized according to the treatment goal. So, if you want to strengthen your muscles, choose the muscle strength recovery group. If your arm swells after breast surgery, you will find the right device in the edema reduction group.
