Details

The probe, when connected to a pressure manometer or the evoStim P electrotherapy device, is suitable for assessing the strength of the anal sphincter muscles and monitoring treatment effects. It can also be used to verify the efficiency of sphincter training.

Probe Usage

Use a lubricant for the procedure.
Attach the luer-lock connector to the manometer or evoStim P device.
Insert the probe into the anus, allowing only the rubber section inside the cavity; the plastic housing must remain outside.
Voluntarily contract the anal sphincter muscles, then read the value from the manometer or device display.
If sphincter training is the goal, repeat the exercise the recommended number of times.
After use, clean the probe, dry it, and store it in a sealed pouch.
The probe can be disinfected with standard household disinfectants.
Do not sterilize in an autoclave.
