Toning (lifting sagging breasts):
Use with an EMS unit such as Premium 400, Activa 700, Elite, Elite 150 devices. Select a muscle tone enhancing (breast lifting) program and start.
To initiate lactation (milk production):
Use with a TENS device. For maximum benefits, select burst mode programs (2 bursts per second).
When to begin stimulating milk production?
Breastfeeding can be a challenge for some mothers, especially adoptive or surrogate mothers. Breastfeeding not only meets the baby’s hunger and supports optimal growth but also always fosters bonding between mother and baby. Many women wish to initiate breastfeeding for the emotional benefits and closeness experienced by both mother and baby.
The process of inducing lactation is not complicated but can be slow. It is recommended to start stimulation about six weeks before the baby’s arrival. Actively stimulate your breasts for 10-15 minutes every 3-4 hours throughout the day. After several days or weeks (or months) of stimulation, swelling of breasts and nipples is expected. They may feel larger, painful, and tender. These are normal signs that new milk-producing glandular tissue is developing in the breasts, which is necessary to start milk production. Once milk appears and you are not yet breastfeeding, use a hospital-grade breast pump to empty the breast after using the TENS device. Emptying helps establish more robust milk production.
