Dr. Zátrok Zsolt
doctor Our medical expert says

“I recommend the Elite SII to those who want TENS pain relief, muscle treatments and body shaping in a single device. Two channels and 100 programmes at a home level cover most typical situations: post‑training recovery, pain relief during the week, weekend training — all with the same tool. If you are not looking for a solution to only one complaint, this is a good entry device. I review the differences between methods here: which electrotherapy is good for what.”

Realistic expectations
Two channels mean two electrode pairs: you can treat one or two body areas at the same time. That is not enough for parallel treatment of very large muscle groups. The shaping programmes supplement training and nutrition, they do not replace them — lasting change requires weeks of regular use. Correct electrode placement and intensity setting require practice: the first few sessions are learning sessions; don’t judge the device solely on those.
Not the device for you if
You need microcurrent (MENS) for wound healing or certain inflammatory joint conditions — the Elite SII does not include that. For simultaneous treatment of large muscle groups you need a four‑channel device.
Before you order
The product description contains general guidance on programme choice, electrode placement and treatment time. Your ideal settings should be provided by the doctor or physiotherapist who knows your condition. NOT to be used with a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator (ICD) or any active implant — only with cardiologist approval. Do not place electrodes on the front of the neck, the head, around the eyes or the temples, and do not conduct current through the chest. Avoid during pregnancy; with cancer involving the treatment area consult an oncologist first. For new, unexplained or worsening pain, seek medical evaluation before starting treatment.

What can the Elite SII be used for?

Do you often get DOMS or feel tired for 1–2 days after training? The active recovery, capillarization and “muscle rest” programmes are designed for exactly this: they can stimulate blood flow in the treated muscle and support natural recovery. There are separate programmes for lower and upper limbs, and for the abdominal muscles.

The maximal strength, explosive power, endurance strength and reaction speed programmes bring classic EMS training protocols home. They do not replace weight training but combine well with it — for example during pre‑season preparation or in a phase of muscle reconditioning after injury.

16 dedicated TENS programmes: traditional pain‑relief TENS, endorphin TENS, sciatica, lumbago, neck pain, trapezius pain, shoulder‑blade periarthritis, knee osteoarthritis, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, menstrual pain, postoperative pain. TENS is a drug‑free alternative that you can use daily unless your doctor advises otherwise.

43 shaping and beauty programmes: firming, shaping, toning for abdomen, thigh, buttock and arm areas; anti‑cellulite, lipolysis, breast and facial toning. Long‑term, patient work is required — results don’t show after 1–2 sessions but build with 3–4 weekly sessions over 6–8 week cycles.

The “Post‑pregnancy abdominal shaping”, “Postpartum swelling reduction – abdomen” and “Postpartum lipolysis – abdomen” programmes are prepared for the postpartum period. Important: start only if your treating physician has approved it and any cesarean or perineal tear has fully healed.

The “Postoperative pain” TENS and the “Quadriceps atrophy with prosthesis”, “Rehabilitation”, “Return to athletics – shoulder” programmes are designed for these situations. They can be used to reduce muscle weakness after knee or shoulder surgery or ankle injury — always under the guidance of your treating physician or physiotherapist.

The “Neck pain”, “Trapezius pain”, “Lumbago” and “Traditional pain‑relief TENS” programmes address typical complaints of office workers. A 30‑minute session before dinner or after work can help relax muscle tone and make it easier to unwind.

The “Swollen legs”, “Swollen upper limbs” and “Swelling reduction” programmes (abdomen, hips, buttocks, legs, upper limbs) are designed to support venous circulation and lymphatic drainage. They can be an adjunct to medical treatment — especially if you have to sit or stand for long periods at work.

What can you use it for – 100 programmes in four main groups

The Elite SII offers four major programme groups, so you don’t need a device specialised only for “pain relief” or “body shaping”. In one device you get medical‑rehabilitation, sport, beauty & fitness and prevention protocols.

The TENS programmes can activate the nervous system’s natural pain‑relief mechanisms. Includes: traditional pain‑relief TENS, endorphin TENS, muscle pain, muscle injury, sciatica, lumbago, menstrual pain, postoperative pain, neck pain, osteoarthritis, rotator cuff inflammation, knee osteoarthritis, trapezius pain, shoulder‑blade periarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, epicondylitis (tennis/golfer’s elbow). Rehabilitation programmes are for muscle reconditioning and return‑to‑sport.

Sport programmes offer classic EMS protocols: warm‑up, pre‑competition warm‑up, maximal strength, explosive power, endurance, endurance strength, reaction speed, capillarization, stiffness relief, active recovery, muscle “rest”, motor point pencil. Every programme has lower limb, upper limb and abdominal variants.

The most comprehensive group. Includes: firming and shaping (abdomen, thigh, buttock, arm, back), toning, anti‑cellulite lipolysis, lipostress, swelling reduction, vascularization, mass gain (male & female variants), facial beauty care, breast toning (1 & 2), male chest development, abdominal area toning for men, leg toning massage, post‑pregnancy shaping and swelling reduction programmes.

The prevention block is designed to prevent joint and muscle weakness and for milder post‑operative phases: prevention (ankle, elbow, knee, shoulder), ankle flexor/extensor muscles, shoulder subluxation, quadriceps atrophy with prosthesis, mixed incontinence, rehabilitation, return to athletics – shoulder.

If you are a more experienced user (or your physiotherapist helps), you can customise parameters in 6 programmes: frequency (1–150 Hz), pulse width (50–400 µs), and session timing. This allows you to go beyond factory protocols.

Frequently asked questions

No. A pacemaker, implanted defibrillator (ICD) or any electronic cardiac rhythm device is an absolute contraindication. Electrotherapy impulses can interfere with the implant’s function and may be life‑threatening. If you have such a device, do not use the device under any circumstances — not even on your limbs.

Use during pregnancy is not recommended, especially on the abdomen, lower abdomen and lumbar area. It may be usable in the postpartum period, but only if approved by your treating physician and any cesarean or perineal injury has fully healed. If in doubt, always ask your gynaecologist or midwife.

Both are 2‑channel, portable Globus devices but with different focus:

  • Genesy SII : A tool for general rehabilitation, incontinence and pain management, with a minimal beauty & fitness programme package.
  • Elite SII: A multifunctional, 100‑programme sport‑beauty‑TENS device. Its main profile is sport‑EMS, body shaping and general pain relief. It contains only a single programme for mixed incontinence treatment.

If you are looking for musculoskeletal rehabilitation and incontinence treatment → Genesy SII is the choice. If sport, shaping and general TENS interest you → Elite SII.

The Premium 400’s four channels allow you to treat large muscle groups simultaneously (e.g. both thighs) and it includes extra functions such as 3S sequential beauty programmes. The Elite SII’s two channels cover smaller areas at a time, so you need at least twice as much treatment time for large areas. If complaints are localised → Elite SII may be sufficient. If you use it frequently on large muscles and want to save time, or want microcurrent and iontophoresis treatments or 3S sequential treatments → Premium 400.

TENS pain relief: multiple times daily as needed, 20–30 minutes per session. Sport‑EMS (strength, endurance): initially 2–3 times weekly on the same muscle to allow recovery, then once daily after 3–4 weeks. Active recovery and capillarization: immediately after training, can be used more often. Shaping & beauty: 3–4 times weekly, in minimum 6–8 week cycles. If unsure about your schedule, ask your physiotherapist or coach.

This depends on the programme and goal:

  • TENS pain relief: pain relief can often be felt within the first few sessions.
  • Sport recovery: reduced muscle soreness is usually noticeable within 24–48 hours.
  • Strength development: measurable changes in tone after 4–6 weeks of regular use.
  • Shaping & beauty: at least 6–8 weeks with 3–4 sessions per week, combined with exercise and nutrition control.

Electrotherapy is not a miracle cure but a supporting tool — fastest results come when combined with other healthy habits.

It should not hurt. TENS produces a pleasant tingling, EMS produces strong but painless muscle contractions. If something causes pain, reduce intensity to a comfortable level. The circuit sensing function automatically stops the current if an electrode falls off or loses contact.

With proper maintenance, Globus devices are typically designed for 8–10 years of active life. The battery often needs replacement after 3–5 years (depending on usage). The most frequently replaced parts are adhesive electrodes (after 15–20 uses) and stimulation cables (in case of contact issues). The device has CE certification; Globus Corporation provides a 2‑year manufacturer warranty.

How to use it step by step?

1

Turn it on and choose the goal

You can choose from four main programme groups: sport, TENS pain relief, shaping & beauty, or prevention & rehabilitation — pick the programme closest to your complaint or goal.

2

Apply the electrodes

Place the supplied 50×50 mm or 50×90 mm adhesive electrodes on clean, dry skin according to the treatment area. The user manual shows optimal placement by body region with illustrations.

3

Start the programme

The Feedback function detects whether the electrodes are making proper contact with your skin — the treatment only starts then. This safety mechanism prevents unpleasant sensations from incorrect attachment.

4

Set the intensity

Gradually increase intensity from 0 up to 100 mA (per channel) to a level that feels comfortable but clearly effective: a tingling for TENS, muscle contraction for EMS. Do not push to painful levels — more is not better.

5

Treat in a seated or lying position

Session time varies by programme, typically 20–30 minutes. During TENS you can read or watch TV; during sport programmes you can remain seated or combine with active movements.

6

Remove and maintain

After treatment, remove electrodes carefully and place them back on the original protective foil — they will keep adhesion for about 25–30 uses. Wipe the device occasionally with a dry cloth.

What’s in the package?

The Elite SII complete starter kit — you don’t need to order electrodes, cables or a bag separately for first use.

  • 1 pc Elite SII device (two‑channel)
  • 2 pcs stimulation cables (1 per channel)
  • 4 pcs 50×50 mm adhesive TENS electrodes (for smaller areas)
  • 4 pcs 50×90 mm adhesive TENS electrodes (for larger areas, e.g. thigh, back)
  • 1 pc battery charger
  • 1 pc carrying bag
  • 1 pc Hungarian language user manual

Adhesive electrodes lose adhesion gradually after 25–30 uses. Replace them when they no longer stick well or their surface is damaged. Compatible replacement electrodes are available in our webshop (5×5 cm and 5×9 cm sizes). After use, place electrodes back on the original protective foil — this prolongs their life.

The device runs on a rechargeable battery, charged with the supplied charger. A full charge allows several hours of treatment, so with daily use you only need to charge 1–2 times per week. If unused for a long period, charge every 1–2 months to preserve battery life.

information Important information

The Elite SII is a CE‑certified medical device (MDD 93/42/EEC directive), designed for independent home use. However, its use does not in any way replace medical diagnosis, an individual physiotherapist protocol, or prescribed medication. The device is intended as an adjunct to existing therapy.

With new or worsening symptoms (e.g. persistent pain, numbness, weakness) always consult your treating physician — electrotherapy does not replace medical evaluation and should not be used to “mask” symptoms that may indicate a more serious condition.

The information on this page is for general guidance only and does not replace individual medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. For specific complaints always consult your treating physician.
