Treatment types

The device is multifunctional, providing several types of electrical treatments. Each treatment mode is used for different problems.

TENS

TENS, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, is primarily used for relieving musculoskeletal pain. It can also be used for menstrual pain and to a lesser extent for cancer pain reduction.

EMS or NMES

Electrical muscle stimulation is referred to as EMS or NMES in medical practice. It is used for muscle-related issues. Main applications include reducing muscle stiffness, atrophy, slowing decrease in muscle strength and mass, improving blood flow, reducing muscle pain. Pre-surgical preparation improves surgical outcomes, and post-surgery rehabilitation relies heavily on it.

FES

FES or functional stimulation is often identified as a separate treatment mode. In fact, it is muscle stimulation performed to recover lost functions.

After central paralysis, muscles partially regain mobility after a few days (in favorable cases), but become clumsy and weak. Muscle stimulation performed to regain strength and relearn movement is functional stimulation.

MENS or MCR

Microcurrent is an extremely mild current (for example, TENS or muscle stimulation currents are about a thousand times stronger).

Microcurrent can be used for pain relief (MENS - microcurrent nerve stimulation) or healing (MCR).

Microcurrent accelerates healing of inflammatory processes (including tendonitis, arthritis, arthrosis, etc.). It reduces edema, useful in acute treatment of herniated discs, lumbago, sciatica, and other radicular symptoms. It speeds up the healing of injuries, wounds, muscle tears, etc.

Microcurrent stimulates collagen production, promoting healing of wounds and scars - beneficial in cosmetic care, effective in restoring skin elasticity and wrinkle treatment.

Iontophoresis

Iontophoresis is beneficial for treating joint inflammations and sports injuries. It delivers a medicinal substance (dissolved in water and electrically charged) directly to the problematic area through the skin, bypassing the digestive system. This is its advantage. For example, after an ankle injury, oral medication spreads to the entire body, and only a minimal amount reaches the ankle. Ideally, more should reach the ankle and less the rest of the body. Iontophoresis helps achieve this.

Useful features

	LAST 10 feature: The device stores the last 10 executed programs. They can be quickly and easily selected and started from the list.
	AUTO STIM feature Allows automatic execution of a program without setting intensity. Intensity is set based on last usage of the program. Only usable with "Last 10" stored TENS and EMS programs.
	Run Time feature After starting a program, main parameters (time, frequency, pulse duration) can be modified. Pressing the function button opens the modification option.
	Favorite programs Allows saving frequently used programs (up to 15 per user) in memory for quick start.
	STIM LOCK feature Allows locking programs saved in Treatments menu. Important when lending to patients who must use therapist-locked programs (other programs are disabled).
	Create your own program Allows creating and modifying up to 15 new programs, making the device very flexible and customizable.
	2+2 mode Allows simultaneous execution of two different programs (EMS or TENS). Thus, two patients or two muscle groups can be treated simultaneously. Channels 1-2 and 3-4 are programmable separately.
	Multiuser Allows personalized use by multiple users. Favorite and Last10 functions require user profile login. Up to 10 users can have treatment plans.

Contraindications of electrical treatment

Electrotherapy treatments (TENS, EMS, MENS, FES, ETS, CES, microcurrent, iontophoresis, denervated, selective current, Kotz, interferential, etc.) are safe and side-effect-free.

Only a few conditions are contraindications.

Current guideline: ANY electrotherapy treatment is FORBIDDEN for patients with pacemakers or implanted defibrillators. Other conditions are not exclusions; benefits and risks must be weighed by the treating physician.
