Lip herpes healing in two days? Possible!
Lip herpes is a common viral condition caused by the herpes simplex virus. It usually begins with a red, burning spot on the lips. One to two days later the spot develops into blisters that can be painful and weep. It typically heals within a week, or in more severe cases within 10–14 days. The herpes can recur with varying frequency. Some people get it as often as monthly, while the luckier ones experience recurrences every 1–2 years or even less often.
General information about lip herpes
Lip herpes usually spreads by droplet/contact transmission and the symptoms appear during periods when the virus is active. The infection typically occurs when the body's immune system weakens, for example due to stress, illness or menstruation. In most cases it causes only a mild health problem, but it can cause serious issues in people with weakened immune systems.
To prevent infection, avoid direct contact with an infected person and avoid sharing dishes and cutlery.
Conventional treatment of lip herpes – minimal results
Since the problem is caused by a virus and there is no truly effective universal antiviral cure, treatment is largely limited to symptom relief. Cooling gels or creams and painkillers can be used to ease pain and itching. Antiviral medications such as acyclovir may help some people.
These were the previous medical options, which provide only minimal results.
Lip herpes and softlaser treatment
Now let's see what can be achieved with a class 3 laser Personal Laser L400 or the Energy Laser L500 Pro device.
Personal Laser L400 softlaser device
Personal Laser L400 softlaser device for treating herpes, inflammation, and joint pain.
The images below document the 48 hours following the appearance of the herpes.
The affected patient suffers from recurring lip herpes at least 5–6 times a year. Traditional medical treatments do not help. The photos follow the course of events.
- One morning he woke up to find a sensitive, red bump had appeared on his upper lip. From experience he knew this signaled the beginning of a herpes outbreak.
- Within about an hour the bump developed into a straw-yellow fluid-filled blister and the pain increased.
At this point the first treatment was performed with the Personal Laser L400 softlaser. The treatment was done by scanning, meaning the laser beam was moved very slowly over the blister and the surrounding swollen area. The treatment time was 2–3 minutes. - During the day two further treatments were performed in the same manner as the first. This picture shows the state 12 hours after onset.
- The next morning, 24 hours after onset, the blister no longer felt tense and the pain had decreased significantly.
- 36 hours later.
- 48 hours after the onset.
Normally healing takes at least 5–7 days. The effect of the Personal Laser treatment is almost immediately visible and even more noticeably felt. It greatly accelerates healing. Awesome! Thank you very much!!!
