About me - Dr. Zsolt Zátrok
I am Dr. Zsolt Zátrok, a physician. I began my career in the hospital more than three decades ago, where I was confronted daily with a strange contradiction: modern medicine achieves remarkable results in acute care, yet most patients with chronic conditions go home with symptomatic treatment and no real solution.
This realization changed the course of my professional life.

Why public education?
I no longer work in the hospital. I’ve dedicated my life to helping people understand that in the treatment of chronic diseases you are the main actor, not the doctor.
The doctor's role is diagnosis and guidance. But your recovery – especially if you live with a long-term condition – depends largely on you. Medication alone rarely solves everything. Exercise, nutrition, lifestyle and, yes, modern home medical devices are what can bring real change.
What do I do?
On the Élethosszig blog and on my YouTube channel I share the knowledge I have gathered over decades. My goal is simple: to help you understand how your body works, the causes of diseases, and the methods with which you can take action for your health at home.
Why do I believe in home medical devices?
The hospital system is not designed to provide care for weeks or months on end – and that's not its role. Chronic diseases, however, require exactly that kind of continuous treatment.
Home medical devices – from electrostimulation to softlaser, from magnetic therapy to ultrasound – make it possible for the treatment you received in the hospital to be continued at home. They do not replace the doctor, but they complement the therapy.
