Types of treatments

The device is multifunctional, providing several types of electrical treatments. Each treatment type is suitable for addressing different problems.

TENS

TENS, or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, is mainly used for relieving musculoskeletal pain. It can also be used for menstrual pain and to a lesser extent for cancer pain relief.

EMS or NMES

Electrical muscle stimulation, known in medical practice as EMS or NMES, is used for muscle-related problems. It mainly addresses muscle stiffness, muscle atrophy, slowing down muscle strength and mass loss, improving blood circulation, and muscle pain relief. Used before musculoskeletal surgeries for preparation, it improves surgical outcomes and is an essential complement to rehabilitation afterward.

FES

FES, or functional electrical stimulation, is often indicated as a standalone treatment method. Essentially, this is muscle stimulation aimed at regaining lost functions.

After central paralysis, muscles may partially regain movement ability within a few days (ideally) but become clumsy and weak. Muscle stimulation performed to recover strength and relearn movement is considered functional stimulation.

MENS or MCR

Microcurrent is an extremely mild current (for example, TENS or muscle stimulation currents are a thousand times stronger).

Microcurrent is used for pain relief (called MENS, microcurrent nerve stimulation) or healing (called MCR).

Microcurrent accelerates healing of inflammatory processes (including tendon inflammation, arthritis, osteoarthritis, etc.). It reduces edema, making it useful in acute treatment of herniated discs, lumbago, sciatica, and other radicular symptoms. It speeds healing of injuries, wounds, muscle tears, etc.

Microcurrent stimulates collagen production, helping wound and scar healing - useful in beauty care as it effectively restores skin elasticity and treats wrinkles.

Useful functions

Function	Details
	LAST 10 function: The device stores the last 10 executed programs. They can be quickly and easily selected and started from the list.
	AUTO STIM function Allows automatic execution of a program without intensity adjustment. The intensity is set based on the last execution of that program. AUTO STIM is only available for TENS and EMS programs saved in the "Last 10" memory.
	Run Time function Allows modification of main parameters of the ongoing program after start: treatment time, frequency, pulse duration. Accessible after pressing the Function button.
	Favorite programs Enables saving the most used programs (max 15 per user) into memory for quick start.
	STIM LOCK function Allows locking of programs saved in the Treatments menu. Important when lending device to patients who must perform therapist "locked" programs (while other programs are disabled).
	Create your own program Allows creating and modifying up to 15 new programs, making the device highly flexible and customizable.
	2+2 mode Allows simultaneous execution of two different programs (EMS or TENS), enabling treatment of two patients or two muscle groups together. Channels 1-2 and 3-4 can be programmed separately.
	Multiuser Allows individual use of the device by multiple users. To access Favorites and Last10 functions, users must log into their profiles. Allows treatment plans for up to 10 people.

Contraindications for electrical treatment

Electrotherapy treatments (TENS, EMS, MENS, FES, ETS, CES, microcurrent, iontophoresis, denervated, selective current, Kotz, interferential, etc.) are safe and side effect free treatment methods.

Only a few conditions are considered contraindications.

Current consensus: ANY electrotherapy treatment is FORBIDDEN for patients with pacemakers or implanted defibrillators. Other conditions are not excluding factors; application benefits and risks must be assessed by the treating physician.
