The device's more than one hundred programs can help in treating, improving, healing, or preventing a wide range of issues.
The device is multifunctional, providing several types of electrical treatment modes. Each mode is applied to solve different problems.
TENS, or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, is primarily suitable for relieving musculoskeletal pain. It can also be used to reduce menstrual pain and, to some extent, cancer-related pain.
Electrical muscle stimulation is labeled EMS or NMES in medical practice. It is used for muscle-related issues: muscle stiffness, muscle atrophy, slowing down loss of muscle strength and mass, improving blood circulation, and reducing muscle pain. When applied before musculoskeletal surgeries for preparation, it improves surgical outcomes. Afterwards, it is an almost essential complementary rehabilitation method.
FES, or functional electrical stimulation, is often noted as a separate treatment mode but is also a form of muscle stimulation done to regain lost functions.
After central paralysis, in some fortunate cases, muscles partially regain movement abilities within a few days but become clumsy and weak. Muscle stimulation for regaining strength and relearning movement is also functional stimulation.

Details
Electrotherapy treatments (TENS, EMS, MENS, FES, ETS, CES, microcurrent, iontophoresis, denervated, selective electrical current, Kotz, interferential, etc.) are safe and free of side effects.
There are very few conditions listed as contraindications.
According to current standpoint, ANY electrotherapy is FORBIDDEN for patients with pacemakers or implanted defibrillators. Other conditions are not excluding factors; benefits and risks should be weighed by the physician.
If unsure about applicability, read Dr. Zsolt Zátrok's article on the Élethosszig Egészségesen blog. Click here.
It's a common belief that electrotherapy devices should not be used with metal implants, prostheses, bone plates, screws. This is outdated. Read Dr. Zsolt Zátrok's article Click here about implants and electrical treatment.
