Power Q-1000 Plus Set - M Leg Cuffs and L Arm Cuffs

Accessories can be purchased separately for the device. Various types and sizes of cuffs are available. Choose the cuff suitable for the body part you wish to treat.

Arm, leg, and waist cuffs are designed for their specific body parts. Up to three cuffs can be connected to the device and—if health permits—used simultaneously.

The arm cuff is especially suitable for treating arm edema after breast surgery. Leg cuffs are available in lengths up to knee or thigh. Waist cuffs come as belts or pants for treating upper thigh, hip, and lower abdomen.

Upper Limb Treatment

Lymphoedema on the arm usually affects one side—a single arm cuff is generally sufficient. Athletes can use two arm cuffs to treat both arms simultaneously. Velcro fasteners secure the cuff under the underarm.

Arm Cuff

Before purchase, measure your arm at the wrist, forearm, and the part of the upper arm under the underarm. Choose size M or L.

M–L arm cuff: green line and italic value=length in cm; red line and bold value=circumference in cm.

Lower Limb Treatment

Measure the ankle, calf, knee, and thigh first. Knee-length and thigh-length cuffs (M–L–XL) are available. They can be extended with zipper inserts if needed!

Half-length Leg Cuff

Knee-length, especially usable for post-thrombotic syndrome treatment (treatment can only start 3–4 months after thrombosis). Suitable only for edema limited to foot or ankle; longer edema requires long cuff.

Thigh-length Leg Cuff

Ideal for lymphoedema, lipedema, varicose vein issues, post-thrombotic conditions, and muscle regeneration. Can be used individually or in pairs and extended.

Waist, Buttocks, and Abdomen Treatment

Pants and belt cuffs are available for the upper thigh, hip, buttocks, and abdomen. These cuffs are necessary when lymphoedema extends to the thigh. Also suitable for cosmetic applications like cellulite and cavitation.

Pant Cuff

Fully encircles the thigh, buttocks, and lower abdomen. Three-row zipper provides a wide size range (small–medium–maximum). Built-in airhose; no need to purchase additional airhoses.

Belt Cuff

Belt-shaped with Velcro fastening. Less effective than pant cuff but cheaper. Suitable for lymphoedema and aesthetic treatments (cellulite).

Cuff Combinations

Sometimes simultaneous use of multiple cuffs is advisable. Contraindicated in heart failure, heart attack, cardiomyopathy, or untreated hypertension.

Before starting treatment, set the appropriate pressure and duration. Pressure is adjustable between 20 and 300 mmHg, though most treatments require only 40-60 mmHg. Duration can be set between 0 and 30 minutes; start with 20 minutes for initial treatments.

Safety Instructions and Contraindications

Strictly follow safety guidelines. Do not use during acute deep vein thrombosis; external pressure can dislodge clots and cause pulmonary embolism. Avoid use with skin infections such as erysipelas, as massage may spread infection.

In heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, or post-heart attack cases, never exceed 40-60 mmHg and use only one cuff at a time. Consult an oncologist before treating cancer patients; avoid direct treatment on active tumors.

Treatment Frequency and Duration

Frequency and duration must be determined individually. Generally, shorter, more frequent treatments (20-30 minutes) are better than rare, longer treatments. Total daily treatment time on the same area must not exceed 120 minutes.

Expected Effects

Patience is key - lymphoedema cannot be cured in one treatment. Noticeable improvement usually appears after 5-10 consecutive treatments. With regular use, blood and lymph circulation improve, swelling, tension, and pain decrease.

Pressure Adjustment Guidelines

Follow your doctor's or therapist's instructions.

General guidelines:

• Low pressure (40-50 mmHg) is sufficient for circulation improvement; high pressure can be harmful.
• Start initial treatments at 40-50 mmHg for 20 minutes.
• Monitor and increase pressure if needed but do not exceed 60 mmHg.
• Prefer multiple 20-30 minute treatments over a long single 120-minute session.
• Be patient - evaluate changes after 3-4 treatments; avoid adjusting settings at every session.

Risks of Incorrect Treatment

Use 40-60 mmHg for lymphatic and venous circulation support. Higher pressure may cause microinjuries and tissue hardening. Aggressive treatment can worsen conditions—avoid high pressure!

In heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, or post-heart attack, never exceed 40-50 mmHg and use only one cuff to avoid overloading the circulatory system. Do not directly treat active tumors but treat areas away from the tumor, e.g., legs in thyroid cancer patients.
