The Power Q-1000 Plus is an easy-to-use compression therapy unit. It is also referred to as pressure therapy unit or wave massage device. All three names refer to the same device, with no differences.
The Power Q-1000 Plus is a medical device that complies with strict European quality and safety standards.
The device operates on the principle of a pneumatic compressor, essentially an "air pump".
The device connects to cuffs made up of several airchambers. The machine inflates and deflates these sequentially, creating a wave-like massaging effect.
It compresses muscles, veins, and lymphatic vessels, directing excess fluid towards the heart.
This mechanical effect reduces edema (fluid between tissues), stimulates blood circulation, and refreshes muscles.
The device offers a wide range of applications in treating health problems as well as in sports and wellness.
Its primary use is for mild to moderate lymphoedema. Due to its simple operation, even elderly persons or those unfamiliar with technical devices can use it.
The device is effective in treating arm swelling after breast removal surgery.
It is suitable for alleviating symptoms caused by varicose veins.
Pregnant women particularly benefit as it can safely reduce leg swelling caused by pregnancy-related varicose veins.
It plays an important role in post-thrombosis rehabilitation, though treatment should start only at least 3 months after the acute phase.
The Power Q-1000 Plus is not only suitable for treating existing problems but also excellent for preventive purposes.
In cases of limb paralysis or reduced mobility, regular use can significantly reduce the risk of thrombosis.
The device effectively supports blood circulation and helps prevent circulatory disorders.
The device is also excellent for aesthetic purposes, especially reducing the symptoms of cellulite.
Athletes benefit as it significantly speeds up post-exercise recovery by aiding faster removal of metabolites and muscle restoration, thus shortening recovery time.
The Power Q-1000 Plus is a reliable compression therapy unit offering a wide range of applications for health problems as well as wellness and sports regeneration.
Proper use and adherence to safety guidelines allow effective treatment of many circulatory problems and swelling.
Thanks to different sizes and types of cuffs, almost every body part can be targeted, providing a truly personalized solution for various health and aesthetic issues.
Accessories are sold separately. Different types and sizes of cuffs are available. Choose the cuff suitable for the body part you want to treat.
Arm, leg, and waist cuffs are designed for their respective body parts. Up to three cuffs can be connected to the device and, if health permits, can be used simultaneously.
The arm cuff is especially suitable for treating post-mastectomy arm edema. Leg cuffs are available in lengths up to the knee or thigh. Waist cuffs come as belt or pant types to treat upper thigh, hip, and lower abdomen.
Lymphedema on the arm is usually unilateral – one arm cuff is usually enough. Athletes can use two arm cuffs to treat both arms simultaneously. Velcro fasteners secure the cuff under the underarm.
Before purchase, measure your arm at the wrist, forearm, and upper arm under the armpit. Choose size M or L.
M–L arm cuff: green line and italic value=length in cm; red line and bold value=circumference in cm.
First measure your ankle, calf, knee, and thigh. Cuffs are available in knee-length and thigh-length (M–L–XL). They can be expanded with a zip extension if needed!
Knee-length, specifically for post-thrombotic syndrome treatment (treatment should start only 3–4 months after thrombosis). Only for edema up to foot or ankle; higher edema requires long cuff.
Ideal for lymphedema, lipedema, varicose complaints, post-thrombotic conditions, and muscle regeneration. Can be used alone or in pairs, expandable.
H=half-height; M–L–XL=thigh length; green line and italic value=length in cm; red line and bold value=circumference in cm.
Pant and belt cuffs are available for the upper thigh, hip, buttocks, and abdomen. These cuffs are necessary if the lymphedema reaches the thigh. Suitable also for cosmetic applications like cellulite and cavitation.
Completely surrounds the thigh, buttocks, and lower abdomen. Available in a wide size range with a three-row zipper (small–medium–maximum). Built-in airhose; no additional airhose purchase needed.
Belt-shaped with Velcro fastening. Less effective than the pant cuff but cheaper. Suitable for lymphedema and aesthetic treatments (cellulite).
P=pant; M–L=belt cuff; green line and italic value=length in cm; red line and bold value=circumference in cm.
Sometimes simultaneous use of several cuffs is advisable. Contraindicated in heart failure, infarction, cardiomyopathy, or untreated hypertension.
Before starting treatment, set the appropriate pressure and duration. Pressure is adjustable between 20 and 300 mmHg, although most treatments require only 40-60 mmHg. Duration can be set between 0 and 30 minutes; start with 20 minutes for initial treatments.
The airchambers inflate sequentially - legs: ankle-calf-knee-thigh; arms: hand-forearm-elbow-upper arm - to optimize circulation improvement.
The airchambers inflate in sequence.
Follow safety instructions carefully. Do not use during acute deep vein thrombosis; external pressure may dislodge clots and cause pulmonary embolism. Avoid use with skin infections like erysipelas, as massage can spread infection.
In heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, or post-heart attack states, never exceed 40-60 mmHg and use only one cuff at a time. Cancer patients must consult an oncologist before treatment; avoid treating active tumors directly.
Frequency and duration must be individually determined. Generally, shorter, more frequent treatments (20-30 minutes) are better than infrequent prolonged sessions. Total daily treatment time should not exceed 120 minutes on the same area.
Patience is key - lymphedema cannot be eliminated in a single treatment. Noticeable improvement usually occurs after 5-10 consecutive treatments. Regular use improves blood and lymph circulation, reduces swelling, tension, and pain.
Follow physician or therapist instructions.
General guidelines:
Use 40-60 mmHg to support lymphatic and venous circulation. Higher pressure can cause micro-injuries and tissue hardening. Aggressive treatment may worsen condition - avoid high pressure!
In heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, or post-infarct states, never exceed 40-50 mmHg and use only one cuff to avoid overloading circulation. Do not treat active tumors directly but feel free to treat areas away from tumors, e.g., legs in thyroid cancer patients.
