The Power Q-2200 is a mid-range compression therapy unit, also known as a compression therapy or wave massage device. These names all refer to the same device without differences.
It is primarily designed for home use.
The Power Q-2200 is a medical device that complies with strict European quality and safety standards.
The device operates on the basis of a pneumatic compressor, essentially an "air pump".
Cuffs consisting of multiple airchambers are connected to the device. The unit inflates and deflates them sequentially, creating a wave-like massaging effect.
This compresses muscles, veins, and lymph vessels, directing excess fluid towards the heart.
This mechanical action reduces oedema (interstitial fluid), stimulates blood circulation, and refreshes muscles.
The device offers multiple modes allowing customization of pressure levels, inflation patterns, and treatment durations to suit individual needs.
The Power Q-2200 can effectively treat various conditions, including:
The device is compatible with various types and sizes of cuffs available for separate purchase. Choose the cuff that targets the desired treatment area.
Arm, leg, and waist cuffs each have special designs tailored for effective treatment of their respective areas. Up to three four-chamber cuffs can be connected simultaneously.
The arm cuff is especially useful for post-mastectomy arm lymphoedema treatment. Leg cuffs come in below-the-knee and mid-thigh versions in various sizes. Waist cuffs are available as pant or belt styles, ideal for treating the abdomen and hips.
Arm lymphoedema usually affects one side, so typically only one arm cuff is needed. To restore athletic muscle, consider using two arm cuffs to treat both arms simultaneously. The arm cuff features a Velcro strap that secures under the opposite underarm.
Before purchase, measure the arm circumference at the wrist, forearm, and underarm. Use these measurements to select the correct size. The cuff is available in M and L sizes.
M-L arm cuff sizes: the green line and small number indicate length in cm, the red line and bold number indicate circumference in cm.
Before selecting a cuff, measure lower limb circumference at the ankle, calf, kneecap, and thigh base. Thigh-length leg cuffs come in M-L sizes; zipper expanders are available if the standard sizes do not fit.
This cuff is ideal for treating lower leg lymphoedema, varicose veins, and post-thrombosis conditions. Athletes can use it to enhance muscle regeneration. Buy one cuff or a pair depending on whether one or both legs are affected. Size can be increased using extensions if standard sizes do not fit.
M-L thigh cuff sizes: the green line and highlighted number indicate length in cm; the red line and bold number indicate circumference in cm.
For treating thighs, hips, buttocks, and upper abdomen, choose from shorts or belt cuffs.
These cuffs are needed when lymphoedema extends to the thigh and requires waist treatment. They are also used for beauty treatments like cellulite, orange peel skin, and post-liposuction contouring.
The shorts cuff provides more effective treatment by fully encircling the thighs and buttocks. The belt cuff resembles a miniskirt and does not treat the inner thigh or lower buttocks.
The shorts cuff offers full 360° treatment over the upper thigh, buttocks, and lower abdomen. Ideal for thigh-hip lymphoedema treatment. Three-row zippers allow size adjustment (smallest, medium, largest). Excellent for cosmetic use such as cellulite treatment and post-dimple pouching. The cuff contains a built-in airhose; no separate airhose needed.
The belt cuff is used where the thigh cuff ends (mid-thigh and above), secured by Velcro. It is less effective than the shorts cuff but more affordable. Suitable for lymphoedema and beauty treatments (cellulite). Requires a separate airhose. To select size, measure abdomen just below the navel and hip circumference.
P = shorts cuff - M-L belt waist cuff sizes: green line and highlighted number indicate length in cm; red line and bold number indicate circumference in cm.
Sometimes, combining cuffs and simultaneous use of multiple cuffs may be necessary.
However, do not use more than one cuff simultaneously in cases of heart failure, post-infarction state, cardiomyopathy, or uncontrolled hypertension.
The Power Q-2200 allows adjustment of key treatment parameters, making it ideal for mild to moderate lymphoedema and home maintenance therapy of varicose veins and post-thrombosis conditions.
The device supports M-L sized leg, arm, and waist (M-L shorts) cuffs. Consult the sizing chart and measure circumferences to select the correct size.
Up to three cuffs (each with 4 airchambers) can be connected simultaneously. Pressure is uniform across all chambers.
There are 4 programs (A, B, C, D). Program B is the gentlest, followed by A, then D; C is the strongest. Start with B or A and only switch to stronger programs as needed. All programs are suitable for athlete muscle recovery and post-stroke rehabilitation.
Programs inflate from bottom to top: the lowest chamber inflates first, then each above in turn. Each inflated chamber applies pressure to underlying tissue, pushing out oedema (lymph). Treatment time can be set to 15 or 30 minutes; the device stops automatically when time elapses.
Follow your doctor’s or therapist's instructions.
General guidelines: Compression therapy aims to improve blood and lymph flow without excessive pressure, which can be harmful. Start treatments on program A or B. Set pressure at 40 or 60 mmHg. Start with 15 minutes, observe results, then increase to 30 minutes if needed. It’s better to perform multiple 30-minute sessions than fewer long sessions. Limit daily use to 120 minutes. Be patient – allow 3-4 sessions before evaluating changes; avoid frequent adjustments.
1. Set treatment time: press "T" button to choose between 15 or 30 minutes.
2. Enable/disable airchambers: by default all chambers inflate. To exclude certain chambers, touch corresponding leg symbols; active chambers are indicated by lit LEDs.
3. Set treatment pressure: use "+" and "-" buttons. The selected value appears on display. All active chambers inflate at same pressure.
4. Program selection: choose from 4 intensity programs. From gentlest to strongest: B, A, D, C. Program C provides the strongest and fastest treatment but may not suit everyone. Use program B unless instructed otherwise.
5-6. Interval settings: for programs C and D, press interval button to select 5, 10, or 30-second pauses between cycles.
7. START/STOP button: press to begin treatment with chosen settings; press again to stop.
For supporting lymph and venous circulation, 40-60 mmHg is sufficient. International medical studies recommend this range. Higher pressure can cause microinjuries, leading to tissue hardening over time. Too strong treatment may worsen your condition – avoid excessive pressure!
Exercise caution with heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, or post-infarction states. Never exceed 40-50 mmHg pressure and use only one cuff at a time; multiple cuffs may overload circulation and cause heart problems.
Avoid treating malignant tumor tissue directly as it may promote spread. However, in thyroid cancer, it is safe to treat your legs.
Regular use of the Power Q-2200 may lead to:
Duration and frequency depend on condition and individual factors. Typically, sessions last 20-60 minutes and can be repeated once or multiple times daily as needed. Regular use over several weeks is recommended for best results. Consult a lymphatic therapist for a personalized plan.
Machine compression therapy may be unsuitable in certain cases or require caution and lower pressure.
