Does urine leak after prostate surgery? Do sudden urges to urinate disrupt your daily life? The Perfect PFE for Men is a clinically tested electrical stimulator developed specifically for men. With five targeted programs – Stress, Urge, Mixed, Tone and Pain relief (TENS) – it can help restore pelvic floor muscle function. It is a single-channel device that works with an anal probe of adjustable depth. Why choose the Perfect PFE for Men? 5 targeted programs Stress, Urge, Mixed, Tone and TENS programs – each works with different frequencies and pulse patterns. The Mixed program is designed for mixed incontinence, while the TENS program targets chronic pelvic pain and prostatitis symptoms. Specifically developed for men The package includes an anal probe with adjustable depth and contact gel – treatment can begin straight out of the box. The probe's stainless steel electrodes are shaped to suit male anatomy. CE medical device The Perfect PFE for Men is CE marked as a Class II medical device under the MDR. Clinical studies support the effectiveness of pelvic floor electrical stimulation combined with muscle training. Compact and portable Operates on an AA battery and comes with a belt clip and storage case. The LCD display lets you monitor treatment time and intensity. You can perform the 20-minute treatment at home, discreetly. Who is it recommended for? Post-prostatectomy incontinence After radical prostatectomy or TURP, sphincter function is often temporarily impaired. The Perfect PFE for Men Stress program can help restore muscle function with targeted electrical stimulation. Consult your treating physician about when to start treatment – generally it is recommended after 6 weeks post-surgery. Urge (overactive bladder) incontinence If you experience sudden, uncontrollable urges to urinate, the Urge program can help. Using low-frequency pulses, it aims to calm bladder muscle overactivity. Regular daily 20-minute sessions can produce noticeable improvement. Mixed incontinence If stress and urgency symptoms occur together, the Mixed program targets both types in a single treatment. This is an advantage of the PFE for Men over the female version: a dedicated program for mixed incontinence is included. Chronic pelvic pain / prostatitis The TENS program is intended to relieve symptoms of chronic pelvic pain and chronic prostatitis. The pain-relief program uses different frequencies and pulse patterns than the incontinence programs and can be used daily if needed. Muscle maintenance – prevention The Tone program is used to maintain achieved muscle strength – once improvement is established with regular treatment, you can switch to twice-weekly sessions. Long-term pelvic floor muscle maintenance can help prevent symptom recurrence. How to use the Perfect PFE for Men? 1 Select the program Use the control button to choose one of the five programs: Stress (stress incontinence), Urge (urgency), Mixed, Tone (maintenance) or TENS (pain relief). The selected program is displayed on the LCD. 2 Insert the probe Apply the supplied Go Gel contact gel to the anal probe and insert it comfortably. The probe depth is adjustable – find a comfortable position. Connect the cable to the device. 3 Set the intensity Gradually increase the intensity until you feel a distinct but comfortable muscle contraction. The treatment should never be painful – if it is, reduce the intensity. The device automatically resets intensity on next power-up. 4 Complete the treatment The program automatically controls the pulses – you only need to get comfortable. Incontinence programs run for 20 minutes; the TENS program lasts 40 minutes. The LCD shows the remaining time. 5 Regular use Use once daily for 20 minutes. With regular use, improvement is usually felt within 4–12 weeks. After reaching sufficient muscle strength you can switch to the Tone program (twice weekly) for maintenance. How does electrical stimulation work? The Perfect PFE for Men delivers gentle electrical impulses to the pelvic floor muscles via the anal probe. The impulses cause the muscles to contract and relax – this cyclical training can help restore muscle strength and improve bladder control. The Stress program targets fast (phasic) muscle fibers, which can contribute to increased urethral closure pressure – particularly relevant after prostate surgery. The Urge program uses low frequency to calm bladder muscle overactivity. The Mixed program combines both approaches in a single session. The TENS pain-relief program operates on the "gate control" theory: electrical impulses can help reduce pain perception. This program is intended to relieve symptoms of chronic pelvic pain and prostatitis. The device does not include a biofeedback function. If you need objective feedback on training effectiveness, consider the evoStim P (pressure biofeedback) or the evoStim E (EMG biofeedback) devices. Package contents The Perfect PFE for Men includes the following accessories: 1 pc TensCare Perfect PFE for Men device 1 pc anal probe (stainless steel electrodes) 1 pc stimulation cable 1 pc Go Gel contact gel (50 ml) 1 pack 50×50 mm adhesive electrode pairs 1 pc 1.5V AA battery 1 pc belt clip 1 pc storage case 1 pc user manual Spare probes and accessories For hygienic reasons the anal probe is for personal use. Spare probes, contact gel and adhesive electrodes are available in our incontinence devices category. The device can also be used with surface electrodes (50×50 mm) – an alternative if probe treatment is uncomfortable. Frequently asked questions Is the probe treatment painful? No. The probe can be comfortably inserted with contact gel, and its depth is adjustable. Electrical impulses produce a mild tingling and muscle contraction. If you experience pain, reduce the intensity – treatment should never be painful. When can I start treatment after prostate surgery? Treatment is generally started after 6 weeks post-surgery – but the timing should always be determined by your treating physician. Do not use electrical stimulation during active wound healing. What is the difference between the PFE for Men and the Biolito? The Perfect PFE for Men is single-channel with 5 programs, and includes an anal probe and contact gel – designed specifically for men. The Biolito is dual-channel with 6 programs but does not include a probe (which can be purchased separately). The PFE for Men is ready to use out of the box, while the Biolito is more flexible (can be used with surface electrodes and treats two channels simultaneously). Is there a female version? Yes. The Perfect PFE is available with a vaginal probe and programs optimized for women – stress, urge, tone maintenance and pain relief. Can I use surface electrodes instead of the probe? Yes. The supplied 50×50 mm adhesive electrodes can be placed on the perineum. This is an alternative if probe treatment is uncomfortable, although the probe method provides more targeted stimulation. How long until improvement is expected? With regular daily 20-minute use, improvement is typically noticed within 4–12 weeks. In post-prostatectomy rehabilitation full recovery can take up to 6 months. Once muscle strength is achieved you can switch to the Tone program (twice weekly) for maintenance. Consult your treating physician before use! Important information The Perfect PFE for Men is CE marked as a Class II medical device under the MDR and is intended to complement medical treatment. For post-prostatectomy incontinence, medical consultation is required before starting treatment. The effectiveness of pelvic floor electrical stimulation combined with muscle training in treating male incontinence is supported by systematic reviews. The Cochrane review from 2019 examined treatment options for post-prostatectomy incontinence.1 The information on this page is for guidance only. Home therapeutic devices are intended to complement, not replace, medical treatment. Consult your treating physician in case of symptoms.
