Power Q-1000 Plus Set – M Leg, Arm, and Waist Cuffs

Accessories can be purchased separately for the device. Various types and sizes of cuffs are available. Choose the cuff suitable for the body part you wish to treat.

Arm, leg, and waist cuffs are designed for respective body areas. Up to three cuffs can be connected to the device and, if health permits, used simultaneously.

The arm cuff is especially suitable for treating arm edema after breast surgery. Leg cuffs are available in lengths reaching up to the knee or thigh. Waist cuffs come as belt or pant types for treating the upper thigh, hip, and lower abdomen.

Upper Limb Treatment

Lymphoedema of the arm is usually unilateral — usually one arm cuff suffices. Athletes may use two arm cuffs to treat both arms simultaneously. Velcro fasteners secure the cuff under the underarm.

Arm Cuff

Before purchase, measure your arm at the wrist, forearm, and upper arm below the underarm. Choose size M or L.

M–L arm cuff: green line and italicized values = length in cm; red line and bold values = circumference in cm.

Lower Limb Treatment

First, measure ankle, calf, knee, and thigh. Cuffs are available in knee-length and thigh-length (M–L–XL). They can be extended with zip inserts if needed.

Half-length Leg Cuff

Knee-length, suitable for treating post-thrombotic syndrome (treatment can only start 3–4 months after thrombosis). Suitable for edema only to foot or ankle; longer cuff needed for higher edema.

Thigh-length Leg Cuff

Ideal for lymphoedema, lipedema, varicose symptoms, post-thrombotic states, and muscle regeneration. Usable individually or in pairs, extendable.

Waist, Hip, and Abdomen Treatment

Pant and belt cuffs can be chosen for treating upper thigh, hip, buttocks, and abdomen. These cuffs are necessary if lymphoedema reaches the thigh. They are also suitable for cosmetic treatments such as cellulite and cavitation.

Pant Cuff

Completely surrounds the thigh, buttocks, and lower abdomen. Offers a wide size range with three-row zipper (small–medium–maximum). Built-in airhose; no need to purchase additional airhose.

Waist Cuff

Belt-shaped with Velcro fastening. Less effective than pant cuff but cheaper. Suitable for lymphoedema and aesthetic treatments (cellulite).

Cuff Combinations

Sometimes it is advisable to use multiple cuffs simultaneously. Contraindicated in heart failure, infarction, cardiomyopathy, or untreated hypertension.

Usage

Before starting treatment, set the correct pressure and time. The device adjusts from 20–300 mmHg, though 40–60 mmHg suffices for most treatments. Treatment time ranges from 0–30 minutes; initial sessions are recommended at 20 minutes. Inflation sequence: legs—ankle→calf→knee→thigh; arms—hand→forearm→elbow→upper arm to ensure optimal circulation improvement.

Safety and Contraindications

Follow safety guidelines carefully. Do not use in cases of acute deep vein thrombosis, as external pressure can dislodge clots and cause life-threatening pulmonary embolism. Avoid use with skin infections like erysipelas to prevent infection spread. Take extra caution with heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy or post-infarction: never exceed 60 mmHg and use only one cuff at a time. For cancer patients, consult an oncologist before treatment; avoid treating active tumors directly.

Treatment Frequency and Duration

Frequency and duration should be tailored individually, considering the condition's type and severity. Generally, shorter, more frequent sessions (20–30 minutes) are better than long, infrequent ones. Total daily treatment time should not exceed 120 minutes.

Expected Results

Patience is key. Lymphedema cannot be eliminated in a single session; changes usually appear after 5–10 treatments. Avoid changing settings after each session. With regular use, circulation gradually improves, swelling and tension decrease, and painful symptoms ease.

Pressure Settings Guidance

Follow your doctor or therapist’s guidance. General guidelines:

• Goal: improve blood and lymph circulation; high pressure is unnecessary and counterproductive.
• Start initial sessions at lower pressure (40–50 mmHg) for 20 minutes.
• Monitor treatment response and increase pressure if needed (not exceeding 60 mmHg).
• You may increase session length, but it’s better to have multiple 20–30 minute sessions; daily total must not exceed 120 minutes.
• Be patient; treatment effects should be evaluated after 3–4 sessions rather than adjusting every time.

Recommended Settings by Condition

• Arm lymphedema: 40–60 mmHg, 20–30 min, arm cuff
• Leg lymphedema: 40–60 mmHg, 20–40 min, leg & trunk/pant cuff
• Lipedema: 50–90 mmHg, 30–40 min, leg & pant cuff
• Venous insufficiency: 40–50 mmHg, 30 min, leg & short leg cuff
• Heavy legs: 40–50 mmHg, 30 min, leg & short leg cuff
• Venous ulcers: 40–50 mmHg, 40–60 min, leg & short leg cuff
• Post-thrombosis: 50–60 mmHg, 50–60 min, leg & short leg cuff
• Muscle recovery: 80–100 mmHg, 20–30 min, leg, pant & arm cuff

Risks of Incorrect Treatment

For lymphatic and venous circulation support, 40–60 mmHg is sufficient, as recommended by medical studies. Higher pressures may cause micro-injuries and tissue hardening. Excessive aggressive treatment can worsen your condition—avoid high pressures. In cases of heart disease, never exceed 50 mmHg and use only one cuff at a time. Do not treat cancerous tissue directly, as it may facilitate tumor spread, though it is safe to treat unaffected areas (e.g., legs in thyroid cancer).
