Accessories are available for separate purchase. Various types and sizes of cuffs are offered. Select the cuff suitable for the target body area.

Arm, leg, and waist cuffs are designed for respective body parts. Up to three cuffs can be connected to the device and, if health permits, used simultaneously.

The arm cuff is especially suitable for treating post-breast surgery arm edema. Leg cuffs are available in knee-length or thigh-length. Waist cuffs come as belts or pants for upper thigh, hip, and lower abdomen treatment.

Upper Limb Treatment

Lymphoedema on the arm usually affects one side – one arm cuff is generally sufficient. Athletes may use two arm cuffs to treat both arms simultaneously. Velcro secures the cuff under the underarm.

Arm Cuff

Before purchase, measure your arm at the wrist, forearm, and under the upper arm near the underarm. Choose size M or L.

M–L arm cuff: green line and italic values=length in cm; red line and bold values=circumference in cm.

Lower Limb Treatment

First, measure ankle, calf, knee, and thigh. Knee-length and thigh-length cuffs (M–L–XL) are available. Zip extensions can be added if needed!

Mid-height leg cuff

Knee-length, specifically for post-thrombotic syndrome treatment (treatment starts 3–4 months post-thrombosis). Suitable only for edema up to foot or ankle; longer edema requires a long cuff.

Thigh-length leg cuff

Ideal for lymphoedema, lipedema, varicose complaints, post-thrombotic states, and muscle regeneration. Usable individually or in pairs, extendable.

Waist, Buttock, and Abdomen Treatment

Pants and waist cuffs are available for the upper thigh, hip, buttocks, and abdomen. These cuffs are necessary when lymphoedema extends to the thigh. Suitable for cosmetic applications such as cellulite and cavitation.

Pant Cuff

Fully surrounds thigh, buttocks, and lower abdomen. Triple zipper provides wide sizing options (small–medium–maximum). Built-in airhose; no extra airhose purchase needed.

Waist Cuff

Belt-shaped with Velcro fastener. Less effective than pant cuff but more affordable. Suitable for lymphoedema and aesthetic treatments (cellulite).

Cuff Combinations

Sometimes simultaneous use of multiple cuffs is recommended. Contraindicated in heart failure, infarction, cardiomyopathy, or uncontrolled hypertension.

The Power Q-1000 Premium provides all medically recommended settings for home maintenance treatment of lymphoedema, varicose veins, and post-thrombotic conditions.

The device has 6 programs (A1-A2-B-C-C-D-E).

Programs A1, C, and E are used for lymphoedema, varicose veins, and post-thrombotic conditions treatment.

A1 is the mildest, C the strongest, E intermediate. Start with A1 and only change if results are insufficient.

Programs A1, C, and E may improve muscle regeneration in athletes and post-stroke patients.

Programs A1-C-E operate from bottom to top: the lower chamber inflates first, then the next.

Program A2 is reverse (top-down) and must never be used for lymphoedema or varicose veins. Recommended for certain peripheral arterial disease stages and post-surgical conditions to improve microcirculation.

Inflated chamber pressure compresses underlying tissues, "squeezing" out edema (lymph vessels).

The menu system is easy to operate. Settings can be saved for quick starting.

It is particularly important that chamber pressure is individually adjustable for optimal leg lymphoedema treatment.

Treatment time is adjustable between 5 and 99 minutes. The device stops after time elapses.

Treatment Guidelines

Follow doctor or therapist instructions.

General guidelines:

The goal is to improve blood and lymph circulation without excessive pressure; high pressure is not advisable.

Start initial treatments with program A1.

Adjust pressure so the lowest chamber has highest pressure, decreasing upwards (e.g., 60-50-50-50-40 mmHg). Studies show this yields best results for lower leg lymphoedema.

Maintain each pressure for 13-15 seconds, allowing one full cycle per minute. Longer hold time provides more effective lymphoedema treatment.

Start with a 20-minute treatment.

Monitor treatment effects and increase to 30 minutes if necessary. Multiple 30-minute sessions are better than infrequent long sessions. Total daily treatment should not exceed 120 minutes.

Be patient. Effects should be assessed after 3-4 treatments; avoid changing settings after each session.

Risks of Incorrect Use

Apply 30-60 mmHg pressure for sufficient lymphatic and venous circulation. International studies recommend this range.

Higher pressure may cause micro-injuries, potentially hardening edematous tissue and worsening the condition. Avoid aggressive, high-pressure treatments.

Patients with heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, or post-heart attack require caution: never exceed 40-50 mmHg, and use only one cuff at a time to avoid heart overload.

Avoid direct treatment over tumor tissue, as it may promote spread. However, leg treatment is safe in thyroid cancer cases.

Expected Results

• Pain relief: Eases discomfort caused by swelling and venous insufficiency.
• Improved mobility: Increases joint range of motion by reducing swelling and stiffness.
• Complications prevention: Lowers risk of venous ulcers and thrombosis tendency.

Recommended duration of use

Frequency and duration depend on condition and individual factors. Treatments typically last 20-60 minutes and can be repeated daily if needed. For optimal outcome, use regularly over several weeks. Consult a lymphoedema therapist for a personalized plan.

Contraindications and Precautions

Machine compression therapy is unsuitable in some cases; in others, it requires caution and lower pressure.

Contraindications:

• Severe peripheral arterial disease (PAD): High pressure may be harmful.
• Severe heart failure: Fluid shifts can be dangerous; treatments must be limited and cautious.
• Active DVT: Compression may dislodge clots; absolutely contraindicated.
• Acute skin infections (e.g., erysipelas): Massage may spread pathogens and worsen inflammation.

Use with caution:

• Edema after lymph node removal (e.g., post-Wertheim operation) requires specialist supervision.
• Abdominal swelling related to tumors should be treated under oncologist guidance only.
• Heart disease and hypertension require caution: use one cuff only at lower pressure (40-50 mmHg) and prefer longer sessions over increased pressure.
