The device is compatible with various cuff types and sizes, sold separately. Choose the cuff that targets the specific body area. Up to three 4-chamber cuffs can be connected simultaneously.

Arm Cuff

The arm cuff is particularly useful for post-mastectomy arm lymphedema. It fastens with a Velcro strap under the opposite armpit. Before purchasing, measure wrist, forearm, and upper arm circumferences to select M or L size.

Leg Cuffs

Leg cuffs are available in knee-length (for post-thrombotic syndrome, 3–4 months after thrombosis) and thigh-length versions. Thigh-length comes in M, L, XL; zipper extensions are available if needed. Measure ankle, calf, knee, and thigh circumferences before ordering.

Trunk Cuffs

For the upper thigh, hip, buttocks, and lower abdomen, choose between pants style (provides full circular coverage with adjustable fit via three zippers) or belt style (fastens with Velcro, less comprehensive). Measure below the navel and at the hip.

Cuff Combinations

Combining cuffs (e.g., trunk + leg or pants + leg) can enhance treatment for lymphedema, lipedema, and cosmetic purposes such as cellulite and fat reduction after cavitation. Avoid combining cuffs in cases of heart failure, post-infarct, cardiomyopathy, or uncontrolled hypertension.

The Power Q-1000 Premium allows all settings recommended medically for home maintenance therapy of lymphedema, varicose veins, post-thrombosis conditions, etc. It has 6 programs (A1, A2, B, C, D, E).

Use programs A1, C, and E for lymphedema, varicose veins, and post-thrombosis. A1 is the mildest, C the strongest, and E intermediate. Start with A1 and only switch to stronger programs if needed. These programs can also improve muscle recovery in athletes and after stroke. A1, C, and E inflate from bottom to top; A2 inflates top-down and should never be used for lymphedema or varicose veins—it’s for certain peripheral arterial conditions and post-surgical edema.

The inflated chamber pressure “squeezes” edema out of the tissues. The menu is easy to use and you can save settings for future sessions. Individual chamber pressure adjustment ensures the most effective leg lymphedema treatment. Treatment time is adjustable from 5 to 99 minutes; the device stops when time is up.

General treatment guidelines:

The goal is to improve blood and lymph circulation, which does not require high pressure—in fact, high pressure is counterproductive. Start with program A1. Set the pressure so the lowest chamber has the highest pressure, decreasing upward (e.g., 60-50-50-40 mmHg). Studies show this is most effective for leg lymphedema. Set hold time to 13–15 seconds for one full cycle per minute; longer hold times improve treatment. Begin with 20-minute sessions and increase to 30 minutes if needed, monitoring results. Total daily use should not exceed 120 minutes. Be patient—treatment effects require 3–4 sessions to assess.

Risks of incorrect treatment

For lymph and venous circulation, use 30–60 mmHg; this range is universally recommended by international medical studies. Higher pressures can cause micro-injuries and tissue hardening, worsening edema. In heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, or post-heart attack patients, never exceed 40–50 mmHg and use only one cuff at a time to avoid overloading circulation. Do not treat tumor tissue directly; for example, you may treat the legs in thyroid carcinoma.

Risks and contraindications

Do not use for:

• Severe peripheral arterial disease (PAD): Compression may worsen perfusion.
• Severe heart failure: Use only with caution, on a small area, and at low pressure.
• Acute DVT: Compression may dislodge clots.
• Acute skin infection (e.g., erysipelas): Massage may spread infection.

Use with caution:

• Post extensive pelvic lymph node removal (e.g., Wertheim surgery): Only under specialist supervision.
• Leg swelling from abdominal tumors: Only with oncologist approval.
• Heart conditions, post-infarction, cardiomyopathy, or uncontrolled hypertension: Use with extra caution, single cuff only, pressures not exceeding 40–50 mmHg.
