Do you struggle with chronic, deep-tissue pain (low back, joint, muscular) and find that classic surface TENS does not reach the source? Or are you looking for a multifunctional device that can both relieve pain with TENS, strengthen muscles, provide microcurrent regeneration and perform mid-frequency interferential treatments?

The UniPro is TensCare's versatile home device that combines 4 technologies in one: TENS, EMS, microcurrent and interferential (IFT) therapy in a single compact unit. IFT is a deeper-tissue method used in physiotherapy clinics — rarely available in home devices. 2 channels, lithium-ion battery, belt clip for portable use, affordable price.

Why choose the UniPro?

4 technológia

Four technologies in one device

TENS (pain relief), EMS (muscle stimulation), Microcurrent (cell regeneration, wound healing), Interferential (deeper-tissue treatment). One device can replace four specialized units — compact and portable.

IFT

Interferential (IF) therapy — rare in home devices

IFT uses the interference of two different-frequency currents to reach deeper tissues — it can penetrate deeper than surface TENS. It is particularly suitable for chronic, deep-tissue pain and inflammatory conditions. 2/4-pole interferential therapy is not always available even in larger physiotherapy clinics.

TENS módok

Classic + specialized TENS modes

Burst, HAN (Dense-Disperse), FM (frequency modulation) enable treatment of chronic pain, activation of the endorphin system and prevention of habituation.

hordozható

Compact, portable with belt clip

Lithium-ion battery (rechargeable), USB charging adapter, belt clip to attach to your waist. No battery changes — one charge provides several hours of treatment. Storage case included. Suitable for work, travel, or the gym.

Dr. Zátrok Zsolt

“The UniPro is a very good value multifunctional device. Its specialty is that it also provides interferential (IF) treatment, which is uncommon at this price point. IF can be applied for chronic, deep low back, joint or inflammatory complaints.”

Who and what is the UniPro good for?

Chronic low back, neck and back pain often result from sedentary work, poor posture or degenerative joint problems. Classic surface TENS may not reach deeper pain sources. The UniPro's IFT (interferential) mode acts in deeper tissues — addressing the root of chronic low back complaints. Burst/HAN TENS modes may support endorphin release.

For osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow or shoulder inflammation the UniPro can help on several fronts:

  • TENS: pain relief based on the gate-control principle.
  • IFT: deeper tissue inflammation reduction.
  • Microcurrent: mitigation of inflammatory processes, support for collagen production.
  • EMS: strengthening the muscles around the joint (stabilization).

Complex approach in one device — no need to buy separate units.

The UniPro offers good value for money. This is a significant advantage because interferential treatment is typically available only in high-power (and rather expensive) physiotherapy machines. The specialized TENS modes (Burst/HAN/FM) are also valuable. Designed for home use, it can also be used by professionals as a complementary device in a clinical setting.

In postoperative rehabilitation the UniPro's EMS functions can help rebuild wasted muscle, while IF and microcurrent support wound healing and reduce inflammation. TENS provides drug-free relief for postoperative pain. The muscle-relaxing EMS program is useful for treating muscle spasms and stiffness. IMPORTANT: start rehabilitation only with approval from your treating physician or physiotherapist.

The EMS function offers strength-building and recovery programs: muscle mass increase, post-injury rehabilitation, body shaping and toning. Microcurrent supports tissue regeneration and healing of small wounds. The IF function can help reduce deeper tissue inflammation in chronic sports-related pain (e.g. tennis elbow, Achilles tendon). NOT a replacement for professional athlete-focused Globus sport devices (Triathlon, Runner, Cycling, Soccer Pro), but a compact, versatile supplement.

In older age groups chronic low back, neck and joint pain are common. The UniPro offers comprehensive support: surface TENS provides immediate pain relief, IF targets deeper chronic issues. The muscle-relaxing EMS program can ease cramped muscles. Simple interface and belt clip for portability. IMPORTANT: seek medical advice, especially if you have chronic disease.

The microcurrent function is specifically intended to support cell and tissue regeneration, wound healing and scar treatment. The extremely low current (in the microampere range) mimics the natural electrical patterns of healthy cells — beneficial for collagen production and circulation. It can be a complementary tool for surgical scars, sports injury scars and acne scarring.

The UniPro's main positioning strength is its multi-technology nature: TENS + EMS + Microcurrent + IFT in one compact device. For users who need versatility (chronic pain + muscle strengthening + sports recovery + joint inflammation), there is no need to buy separate devices. Good value — the four technologies separately would cost much more.

How to use it step by step?

1

Charging the battery (lithium-ion)

The device operates on a lithium-ion battery and includes a USB charging adapter. A full charge provides several hours of treatment. No battery replacement is required, and there is no mains adapter during use.

2

Select a technology

Choose among the four technologies: TENS (pain relief), EMS (muscle stimulation), Microcurrent (cell regeneration), or IF (interferential deep-tissue). Each technology includes multiple preset programs. Experienced users can also set custom programs.

3

Apply the electrodes

The package includes four 5×5 cm self-adhesive electrodes. Clean the skin surface (remove creams, oils, sweat, dust). The two channels allow treatment of two areas simultaneously. For IF treatment electrode placement is specific: the electrodes of the two channels must be placed diagonally so that the mid-frequency currents emitted by the two channels intersect in the target tissue at the center.

4

Select a program

Within the chosen technology select the preset program appropriate for the complaint. TENS: Burst/HAN/FM/continuous/modulated. EMS: strengthening, relaxation, recovery. Microcurrent: low-intensity regenerative. IF: for chronic deep-tissue pain and inflammatory conditions.

5

Adjust intensity per channel

Gradually increase intensity until you feel a pleasant but strong sensation. TENS yields a pleasant tingling, EMS produces visible muscle contractions, IF gives a deeper tissue sensation. Microcurrent treatment is generally not felt (current in the microampere range).

6

Portable treatment with belt clip

During two-channel treatment you can attach the device to your waist with the belt clip. Use it while working, doing housework, or watching TV. The device stops at the end of the set treatment time. (Note: there is no audible signal at the end of treatment — physiotherapist customer feedback indicates this is a drawback.)

The four treatment technologies in detail

The UniPro combines four different electrotherapy technologies in a single device. Each is optimized for different purposes — together they cover the spectrum of classic home electrotherapy needs.

TENS stimulates nerve endings with low-intensity electrical impulses. Two mechanisms of action:

  • Gate-control theory: it blocks transmission of pain signals toward the brain.
  • Endorphin release: your body produces natural pain-relieving substances.

UniPro TENS modes: continuous, modulated, Burst, HAN (Dense-Disperse), FM (frequency modulation).

EMS directly stimulates muscles. Applications:

  • Increase muscle strength (rehabilitation, conditioning)
  • Muscle mass development
  • Muscle rebuilding after injury or illness
  • Muscle toning and body shaping
  • Muscle relaxation (for cramped or tense muscles)

The muscle-relaxing EMS program is a rare feature at this price point — physiotherapist customer feedback finds it valuable professionally.

Microcurrent uses extremely low-intensity current (thousands of times smaller than TENS). The current is so small it is typically not felt. Applications include:

  • Cell and tissue regeneration
  • Support for wound healing
  • Scar treatment (surgical, sports, acne)
  • Support for collagen production
  • Tissue oxygenation
  • Reduction of inflammatory processes

Microcurrent provides patterns similar to the natural electrical activity of healthy cells — which is why it is effective in regeneration.

IF (Interferential Therapy) uses the low-frequency effect created by interference of two different mid-frequency currents to reach deeper tissues. Classic TENS has a surface effect, while IF works in deeper tissues.

4-pole IF: by placing the paired electrodes of the two channels diagonally, the two mid-frequency currents cross WITHIN THE TISSUE — producing low-frequency interference at that location. Deeper, more targeted effect.

Applications:

  • Chronic deep-tissue pain (lumbar, joint)
  • Deeper inflammatory conditions
  • Improvement of blood circulation
  • Chronic, stubborn complaints where surface TENS is ineffective

2/4-pole interferential treatment is not always available even in physiotherapy clinics — UniPro brings it to the home level.

Example of a complex treatment protocol for a joint complaint:

  • Monday: IFT deep-tissue treatment for the painful area (30 minutes).
  • Tuesday: EMS muscle strengthening on muscles around the joint (20 minutes) + microcurrent on the old scar area (15 minutes).
  • Wednesday: TENS Burst/HAN endorphin-activating program (30 minutes).
  • Thursday: Rest day or light microcurrent regeneration.
  • Friday: IFT + EMS combination.

The exact protocol should be determined by a physiotherapist or treating physician based on the type and severity of the complaint.

What is included in the package?

The UniPro base package — with all necessary accessories to start using it immediately.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. A pacemaker, implanted defibrillator (ICD) or any electronic implant is an absolute contraindication. All four current types of the UniPro (TENS, EMS, Microcurrent, IFT) can interfere with the operation of an implant. If you have such a device, do not use the UniPro under any circumstances — not even on your limbs.

Do NOT use the UniPro in the first trimester of pregnancy. Throughout the entire pregnancy avoid treating the lower abdomen, abdomen and pelvic area. If in doubt consult your obstetrician or midwife. After delivery, only begin treatment with your gynecologist’s approval and after full recovery.

IF (Interferential Therapy) uses the low-frequency effect produced by interference of two different mid-frequency currents (typically between 2000–4000 Hz). The advantage: mid-frequency currents penetrate tissues more easily (are less perceived on the skin) and reach deeper than classic low-frequency TENS.

The two currents meet WITHIN THE TISSUE and create the low-frequency therapeutic effect there — this is the "deeper focusing." IF is widely used in physiotherapy clinics but rare in COMPACT HOME devices. UniPro is special in this respect. It can be a valuable adjunct for chronic deep-seated low back, joint or inflammatory complaints.

2-pole IFT: The two mid-frequency currents are already combined INSIDE THE DEVICE and arrive at the skin in a modulated form. Easier placement (2 electrodes sufficient), but less precise deep focusing.

4-pole IFT: The two channels' paired electrodes are placed in a DIAGONAL arrangement. The two mid-frequency currents meet WITHIN THE TISSUE at the center — low-frequency interference is formed there. Deeper, more precise focusing. Requires 4 electrodes.

General rule: for larger area/deeper complaints use 4-pole, for smaller precise areas use 2-pole IFT. Detailed recommendations are in the Hungarian user manual.

General guidance:

  • Acute, superficial pain (fresh low back strain, muscle spasm) → continuous or modulated TENS.
  • Chronic superficial pain (recurrent neck, shoulder pain) → TENS Burst, HAN, FM (endorphin-activating).
  • Chronic deep-tissue pain (chronic lumbago, joint) → IFT.
  • Muscle weakness, need for strengthening → EMS.
  • Wound healing, scar treatment, inflammatory processes → Microcurrent.

A physiotherapist or treating physician can help select the appropriate technology depending on the complaint type and severity.

Special TENS modes, which are rarely found on Hungarian home devices market:

  • Continuous TENS: constant-frequency stimulation. For acute pain. Blocks pain signals according to the Gate-Control theory.
  • Burst: groups of high-frequency pulses at a low rate. Can activate the endorphin system.
  • HAN (Dense-Disperse): Professor Han's method, alternating high (100 Hz) and low (2 Hz) frequency. A refined endorphin-activating mode.
  • FM (frequency modulation): the frequency automatically varies within a range. Prevents the nervous system from habituating to the stimulus.

For chronic pain it is worth trying different modes — effectiveness can vary significantly between individuals.

Depends on technology and purpose:

  • TENS pain relief: multiple times daily as needed, 20–45 minutes per session.
  • EMS strengthening: 2–3 times per week, 20–30 minutes per session with rest days for recovery.
  • EMS muscle relaxation: possibly daily, 15–20 minutes per session.
  • Microcurrent regeneration: possibly daily, 15–30 minutes per session.
  • IFT deep-tissue treatment: 3–5 times per week, 20–30 minutes per session.

Never use while driving or operating machinery. If new or worsening symptoms appear consult your treating physician.

The built-in lithium-ion battery allows several hours of treatment on a full charge — actual runtime depends on the technology used, intensity and session length. With daily use it typically needs charging every 4–7 days. The USB charging adapter is included. If unused for long periods recharge every 2–3 months to maintain battery life.

figyelmeztetés When NOT to use the UniPro?

The following situations may make electrotherapy dangerous or cause adverse effects. If any apply to you, do not start using the device without consulting your treating physician.

  • Wearing a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator (ICD) or any electronic implant — IFT, EMS and TENS impulses can all interfere with their function
  • Cardiac arrhythmia or severe cardiovascular disease
  • First trimester of pregnancy; throughout pregnancy treatment of the lower abdomen, abdomen and pelvic area is prohibited
  • Epilepsy or other seizure disorders
  • Undiagnosed pain — rather than masking pain, a medical diagnosis is required
  • Active or suspected malignant tumor near the treatment area
  • Acute inflammation or infection at the skin area to be treated
  • Bleeding disorders or coagulation problems
  • Deep vein thrombosis or known clotting tendency in the limb to be treated
  • Skin injury, fresh scar or open wound in the treatment area (avoid until healed)
  • Placing electrodes directly over the heart, on the front of the neck (carotid sinus region) or on the skull — FORBIDDEN
  • Recent post-operative phase without approval from the treating physician
  • Children using unsupervised (under 12 only with adult supervision and physiotherapist guidance)

Unsure? Always consult your treating physician or physiotherapist before use — especially with chronic diseases, medication (particularly anticoagulants), metal implants or any implanted medical device. Detailed information can be found in Dr. Zátrok Zsolt's article on electrotherapy contraindications here.

információ Important information

The UniPro is a CE-certified, Class II medical device (according to MDR, with ISO 13485 quality assurance) intended for independent home use. Nevertheless, its use in no way replaces medical diagnosis, an individual physiotherapist protocol or prescribed medication. The device is intended as an adjunct to existing therapy.

In case of new or worsening symptoms (e.g. persistent pain, numbness, weakness, sensory loss) always consult your treating physician — the UniPro does not replace diagnostic work-up and should not be used to "mask" symptoms that may indicate a serious underlying condition. Never use an electrotherapy device for undiagnosed pain.

IFT (interferential) treatment has a deeper tissue effect than TENS — therefore physician or physiotherapist consultation is especially recommended to set appropriate parameters and electrode placement.

Use only original accessories and replace electrodes regularly (after 25–30 uses). Keep the device away from children at all times.

The information on this page is for general guidance and does not replace individual medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult your treating physician regarding your specific complaints.
