Looking for a stable desktop laser workstation with 6 W power for a fixed treatment room?

The PhysioLaser 6.0 Pro offers the optical performance of the portable 6.0 model in a desktop housing. The main difference is not therapeutic power but fixed clinic ergonomics, a larger display and a form factor suitable for placement on a treatment trolley.

Expert recommendation Our medical expert says

“The PhysioLaser 6.0 Pro is not more powerful than the portable 6.0 model. It delivers the same 6 W optical power, but the larger display and desktop design provide a more comfortable fixed clinic workstation.”

What treatments is it suitable for?

The program selection provides starting points for adjunct treatment of arthrosis, knee osteoarthritis, knee pain, hip pain, ankle sprain, bursitis and other periarticular complaints.

Photobiomodulation can be used to influence pain and surrounding soft-tissue symptoms. It does not restore worn cartilage, meniscus or torn ligaments, and it does not replace physiotherapy, load modification or orthopedic assessment.

Soft laser for knee pain treatment →

Manufacturer protocols include acute and chronic back pain, lumbar and cervical syndromes, myofascial pain and complaints associated with radiculopathy.

Program names do not replace diagnosis. For radiating limb pain, muscle weakness, sensory disturbance, urinary or fecal dysfunction, trauma or rapid deterioration, medical assessment is required before treatment.

Low back and spine pain treatment guide →

The program library may include protocols for shoulder pain, frozen shoulder, subacromial bursitis, rotator cuff-related complaints and post-operative rehabilitation.

Laser is an adjunct in rehabilitation. In cases of significant loss of strength, post-injury immobility or suspected complete tendon rupture, imaging and specialist assessment are necessary.

Epicondylitis, Achilles tendinopathy, patellar tendon complaints, De Quervain's syndrome, tenosynovitis and trigger point treatment are among the targeted areas listed in the source.

Tendon rehabilitation is based on load management and progressive strengthening. Pain reduction alone does not imply the tendon is ready for full sports or work loads.

Soft laser for tendon inflammation →

For muscle pain, contracture, contusion, muscle strain, post-injury edema and post-operative rehabilitation, laser can be part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

In acute injuries exclude fracture, complete rupture, infection and other urgent conditions first. High power is not intended to mask symptoms that prevent safe return to sport.

Soft laser treatment for sports injuries →

The plantar fasciitis program gives manufacturer starting points for targeted treatment of painful areas of the plantar fascia.

Laser does not remove a bony heel spur. Treatment aims to complement load management, appropriate footwear and rehabilitation by addressing surrounding soft-tissue complaints.

Heel pain treatment guide →

The program list includes edema-management protocols related to acute injury and post-operative conditions.

Unknown-source swelling must be investigated first. Laser does not replace compression, mobilization, appropriate wound care or complex lymphedema therapy.

Clinic use: The desktop format is advantageous in a dedicated treatment room, on a treatment trolley or a permanent workstation.

Why choose the PhysioLaser 6.0 Pro?

6 W maximum optical power

6 W maximum optical power

Its optical power matches the portable PhysioLaser 6.0 model. In maximum continuous mode up to 360 Joules per minute can be delivered.

85+ clinical protocols

85+ clinical protocols

The broad program library provides quick starting points for the most common musculoskeletal, sports rehabilitation and edema-related treatments.

Desktop design for fixed treatment site

The 220 × 170 × 60 mm, approximately 790 g central unit can be placed on a treatment trolley or a dedicated workspace.

Larger 3-inch display

Larger, 3-inch display

Compared with the portable 6.0 model's 2.6-inch display, the Pro offers a larger control surface for fixed clinic use.

11 mm base optics, 22 mm option

11 mm base optics, 22 mm option

The package includes an 11 mm 808 nm treatment head. Larger optics and additional wavelength handpieces may be available as accessories.

Two protective goggles and emergency stop

Operator and patient goggles required for Class 4 treatment, plus a safety emergency stop, are included in the package.

Is the PhysioLaser 6.0 Pro right for you?

Good choice if you want a dedicated laser workstation in a fixed treatment room or rehabilitation center.
Especially practical if you keep the device on a treatment trolley and value a larger display, stable placement and a permanently prepared work environment.
Compared to the portable 6.0 you get a desktop housing, larger display and fixed clinic ergonomics, not higher therapeutic power.
Don't choose this if you frequently take the device to sports fields, multiple sites or home care. The portable 6.0 is more practical for that.
For high throughput or large body areas 12 W models can save additional treatment time if the higher investment is justified.

85+ built-in clinical protocols

The protocols listed in the source mainly cover musculoskeletal, sports rehabilitation and edema-related treatments. Program selection simplifies setup but does not replace diagnosis, dose verification or treatment documentation.

Optional handpieces: the standard package contains the 808 nm head. Availability, power, program compatibility and eye-protection requirements for 980 and 1064 nm heads must be verified separately.

Mechanism What does 6 W laser treatment mean?

In photobiomodulation light of a defined wavelength and dose is delivered to the target tissue. The biological response depends on wavelength, power, energy dose, spot size, pulse settings and treatment geometry.

6 W maximum continuous power corresponds to 6 Joules per second, i.e. up to 360 Joules per minute. This allows rapid dose delivery but requires attention to tissue heating and avoiding excessive dose.

The standard 808 nm handpiece operates in the near-infrared range. Optional 980 and 1064 nm handpieces may offer different tissue absorption properties, but it is incorrect to simply rank them as “deeper” or automatically more effective.

Fixed placement can facilitate creating a consistent Class 4 safety environment, but this alone does not make the treatment safe.

Professional treatment in four steps

1

Assess the patient

Clarify diagnosis, treatment goal, tissue condition and contraindications. Program names are not a substitute for diagnosis.

2

Select the protocol and verify the dose

Check wavelength, power, mode, frequency, duty cycle, treatment time, spot size and treated area.

3

Ensure a Class 4 environment

Operator and patient must wear appropriate certified laser protective goggles for the used wavelength. Remove reflective objects, prevent unauthorized entry and keep the emergency stop accessible.

4

Perform and document the treatment

For point treatment hold the head steady; for scanning move at an even speed. Document the area, parameters, energy dose and patient response.

Frequently asked questions

6 W is the maximum nominal optical power. In maximum continuous operation this corresponds to up to 360 Joules per minute. In pulsed programs the average energy delivery may be lower.

The main advantage of higher power is faster dose delivery. Penetration is also determined by wavelength, tissue optical properties, spot size, contact and treatment geometry; 6 W alone does not mean three times the penetration depth.

Yes. The device is a Class 4 laser. Both operator and patient must wear certified laser protective goggles appropriate for the used wavelength.

Stop the device and seek urgent ophthalmological assessment. Provide the used wavelength and the possibility of exposure to a Class 4 laser up to 6 W. Absence of symptoms does not rule out injury.

Laser is not electrical stimulation, so a pacemaker does not automatically pose the same risk as electrotherapy. For implanted electronic devices, severe cardiac disease or chest treatments follow the manufacturer’s manual and treating physician's approval.

According to the source the package includes the 808 nm handpiece. 980 and 1064 nm handpieces are optional and are not considered part of the standard package.

The optical power is the same. The 6.0 is portable and smaller; the Pro is a desktop unit with a larger display designed for a fixed workstation.

There is no fixed number of sessions valid for all indications. Course length should be determined by diagnosis, tissue condition, dose, clinical response and rehabilitation plan.

What's included in the package?

  • 1 pc PhysioLaser 6.0 Pro desktop central unit
  • 1 pc 808 nm treatment head with 11 mm optics
  • 1 pc operator laser protective goggles
  • 1 pc patient laser protective goggles
  • 1 pc power adapter
  • 1 pc rechargeable battery
  • 1 pc safety emergency stop
  • 1 pc user manual

The goggles included in the package are intended for use with the standard 808 nm handpiece. For optional 980 or 1064 nm handpieces verify that the protective range and optical density of the goggles are appropriate for the given wavelength.

Protect the optical surface from scratches, dust and oily contamination. Clean only with materials and methods allowed in the user manual.

Do not use the device if the handpiece, cable, connector, goggles or optical surface is damaged.

Important information Important information

The PhysioLaser 6.0 Pro is intended as an adjunctive treatment. It does not replace diagnosis, medical treatment, physiotherapy or appropriate rehabilitation.

Due to its Class 4 classification it must be used only by trained professionals in a proper laser safety environment. Higher power enables faster dose delivery but, with incorrect parameters, increases the risk of excessive dosing and tissue heating.

The product description is for informational purposes and does not constitute personalized medical advice or laser safety training. Cited studies are not device-specific evidence.
