What treatments can it be used for?

The program library provides starting points for adjunctive treatment of arthrosis, knee osteoarthritis, knee pain, hip pain, ankle sprain, bursitis and other periarticular complaints.

Photobiomodulation can be used to influence pain and surrounding soft-tissue complaints. It does not restore worn cartilage, meniscus or ruptured ligaments, and it does not replace physiotherapy, load modification or orthopedic evaluation.

Mechanism What does 12 W laser treatment mean?

In photobiomodulation, light of a specified wavelength and dose is delivered to the target tissue. The biological response depends on wavelength, power, energy dose, spot size, pulse settings and treatment geometry.

A 12 W maximum power in continuous mode equals 12 Joules per second, or up to 720 Joules per minute. This enables rapid dose delivery but requires increased attention to avoid tissue heating and excessive dosing.

The standard 808 nm handpiece operates in the near-infrared range. Optional 980 and 1064 nm handpieces may offer different tissue absorption properties, but it is not correct to simply rank them as "deeper" or automatically more effective.

The main clinical advantage of higher power is treatment speed. It does not automatically prove stronger biological effect, faster healing or fewer treatment sessions needed.

According to the source, the 11 mm optic creates approximately a 0.95 cm² spot, and the 22 mm optic approximately a 3.8 cm² spot. The smaller head is practical for targeted point treatment; the larger is useful for scanning the shoulder, thigh, back or other larger areas.
