Treatment types

The device is multifunctional, offering various electrical treatment modes. Each mode addresses different issues.

TENS

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) is primarily used for alleviating musculoskeletal pain. It can also be used for menstrual pain and, to a lesser extent, cancer-related pain.

EMS or NMES

EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) or NMES (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation) is used to treat muscle-related issues. It slows muscle stiffness and atrophy, preserves strength and mass, improves circulation, and reduces muscle pain. Used before orthopedic surgeries to enhance outcomes, it is an essential part of post-operative rehabilitation.

FES

FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation) is considered an independent treatment mode aimed at recovering lost functions. After central paralysis, muscles may partially regain movement within days but remain weak and uncoordinated. Functional stimulation helps regain strength and relearn movements.

Contraindications for electrical treatment

Electrotherapy treatments (TENS, EMS, MENS, FES, ETS, CES, microcurrent, iontophoresis, denervated selective stimulation, Kotz, interferential, etc.) are safe and free of side effects. Very few conditions are contraindications.

It is currently FORBIDDEN to use any electrotherapy on patients with a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator. Other conditions are not absolute contraindications; benefits and risks should be weighed by the treating physician.
