Treatment types

The device is multifunctional, providing multiple types of electrical treatments. Each treatment mode is suitable for different problems.

TENS

TENS, i.e. transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, is primarily suitable for pain relief of musculoskeletal origin. It's also used for menstrual pain and to a lesser extent for cancer pain reduction.

EMS or NMES

Electrical muscle stimulation is denoted EMS or NMES in medical practice. It is used to treat muscle-related problems. Main applications are muscle stiffness, atrophy, slowing muscle strength and mass loss, improving blood circulation, and reducing muscle pain. Pre-surgery conditioning improves surgical outcomes, and post-surgery rehabilitation is an essential supplement.

FES

FES, or functional electrical stimulation, is often marked as a separate treatment mode. It is actually muscle stimulation aimed at regaining some lost function.

After central paralysis, muscles partly regain movement ability within days (in fortunate cases), but they become clumsy and weak. Muscle stimulation to regain strength and relearn movement is functional stimulation.

MENS or MCR

Microcurrent is an extremely mild current (for example, TENS or muscle stimulation currents are about a thousand times stronger).

Microcurrent can be used for pain relief (called MENS - microcurrent nerve stimulation) or healing (called MCR).

Microcurrent accelerates healing of inflammatory processes (including tendon inflammation, arthritis, arthrosis, etc.). It reduces edema, making it useful for acute treatment of herniated discs, lumbago, sciatica, and radicular symptoms. It speeds recovery of injuries, wounds, muscle tears, etc.

Microcurrent stimulates collagen production and thereby wound and scar healing, which can be used in beauty care where it effectively restores skin elasticity and treats wrinkles.

Iontophoresis

Iontophoresis is a useful current type in treating joint inflammations and sports injuries. It allows direct delivery of a water-soluble, electrically charged medication through the skin to the problematic area, avoiding the digestive system. This is its advantage. For example, with an ankle injury, orally taken medication spreads through the whole body and little reaches the ankle, whereas iontophoresis directs a high concentration to the ankle and less elsewhere.

Useful functions

Feature	Details
	LAST 10 function: The device stores the 10 most recently executed programs, allowing quick and easy selection and starting.
	AUTO STIM function Allows automatic execution of a program without intensity adjustment. The intensity is set based on the last execution of that program. AUTO STIM is available only for TENS and EMS programs recorded in the "Last 10" memory.
	Run Time function After starting a program, key parameters like treatment time, frequency, and pulse duration can be changed. Modifications are possible after pressing the function button.
	Favorite programs Allows saving the most used programs to memory (max 15 per user) for quick starting.
	STIM LOCK function Allows locking programs saved in the Treatment menu. Important when lending to patients who must perform only the therapist-locked program (other programs disabled).
	Create own programs Allows making and modifying up to 15 new programs, making the device highly flexible and customizable.
	2+2 mode Allows simultaneous execution of two different programs (EMS or TENS) so two patients or muscle groups can be treated simultaneously. Programming distinction between channels 1-2 and 3-4 is possible.
	Multiuser Allows multiple users' personalized use of the device. Users must log in to access Favorites and Last 10 functions. Enables creating treatment plans for up to 10 persons.

Contraindications of electrical treatment

Electrotherapy treatments (TENS, EMS, MENS, FES, ETS, CES, microcurrent, iontophoresis, denervated, selective current, Kotz, interferential, etc.) are safe and free of side effects.

There are only a few conditions considered contraindications.

Current standpoint: ANY electrotherapy is FORBIDDEN for patients with pacemakers or implanted defibrillators.Other conditions aren't absolute contraindications, treatment benefits and risks should be weighed by the attending physician.
