Treatment Types

The device offers multiple electrical therapy modes for different conditions.

TENS

TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) is primarily for musculoskeletal pain relief, and can also ease menstrual pain and, to some extent, cancer-related pain.

EMS or NMES

EMS (electrical muscle stimulation), or NMES, treats muscle issues: stiffness, atrophy, strength/mass loss, circulation deficits, and muscle pain. Used pre-surgery to improve outcomes and essential for post-operative rehabilitation.

FES

Functional electrical stimulation (FES) is a muscle stimulation technique to regain lost function, e.g., after central paralysis muscles may partially recover movement but remain weak; functional stimulation helps rebuild strength and relearn motion.

MENS or MCR

Microcurrent is an extremely low current (about 1/1,000 of TENS). As MENS, it relieves pain; as MCR, it accelerates healing.

Microcurrent speeds recovery of inflammatory conditions (tendonitis, arthritis, arthrosis), reduces edema (useful for herniated discs, lumbago, sciatica), and accelerates healing of wounds, injuries, and muscle tears. It also stimulates collagen for scar and skin elasticity improvement.

Iontophoresis

Iontophoresis delivers electrically charged medication through the skin directly to the affected area, bypassing the digestive system. This ensures high local concentration (e.g., for ankle injuries) with minimal systemic exposure.

Contraindications

Electrotherapy (TENS, EMS, MENS, FES, etc.) is safe and side-effect free. Only a few conditions prohibit its use.

It is currently FORBIDDEN for patients with pacemakers or implanted defibrillators. Other conditions require benefit-risk assessment by a physician.
