Are you just getting to know home electrotherapy and looking for a reliable brand device with broad capability? One that offers the four main treatment modes (TENS, EMS, microcurrent, iontophoresis) — suitable for family use at an affordable price?

The Globus Genesy 300 Pro is one of the Genesy family’s 4-channel models with the best price/performance ratio. Same hardware, the same Hungarian menu, and the same reliable symptom-specific programs as the higher-end Genesy 600 or 1500 — just fewer current modalities and fewer programs. If you need a solution for basic home use (pain relief, muscle strengthening, wound healing, basic rehab) and you don't require complex Kotz / interferential (IF) modalities or a denervated-muscle program, the Genesy 300 Pro is the logical, budget-friendly entry point.

Why the Genesy 300 Pro may be a good choice

öt kezelési mód

5 treatment modes in one device

TENS (pain relief), EMS (muscle strengthening), microcurrent (wound healing, inflammation reduction), FES (post-stroke rehab) and iontophoresis (drug delivery) — covering typical home user needs.

panaszra szabott program

Factory programs

20 TENS programs (sciatica, lumbago, knee pain, tennis elbow, menstrual pain), 12 microcurrent programs (joint inflammation, tendonitis, whiplash), 7 rehabilitation programs (ACL post-op recovery, shoulder dislocation prevention), 22 sport and 29 fitness programs.

kompakt

Compact, portable, affordable

Only 404 g, dimensions 160 × 99 × 35.4 mm — fits in your palm. Built-in battery and carrying case included. The price-to-value ratio is among the best in the Globus family — the most affordable entry point from a trusted brand.

két csatorna pár

Treat two people or two muscle groups at once

With 4 channels you can treat 2 family members simultaneously or two different painful areas (e.g. both knees, or your lower back and shoulder). Saves time and money.

Dr. Zátrok Zsolt
orvos Our medical expert says

“The Genesy 300 Pro is an excellent entry choice if you need home electrotherapy for the first time and want an effective, versatile device. Globus quality, 4 channels, Hungarian menu and symptom-specific programs — only the special denervated muscle, Kotz, and interferential IF treatments are missing. For basic use — chronic low back or knee pain, muscle strength recovery after surgery, family rehabilitation needs — it’s sufficient. If you require a denervated-muscle program (e.g. facial palsy, peripheral paralysis) or deep muscle/joint IF current, the Genesy 600 or Genesy 1500 could be the next step. Consult your treating physician or physiotherapist about program selection before use.”

Is this for my complaint?

Find your situation in the list below. If you see it, the Genesy 300 Pro will most likely help — in coordination with your treating physician or physiotherapist.

TENS programs can provide immediate, noticeable relief for chronic low back, neck and shoulder pain (pain sensation decreases during treatment). Symptom-specific preset programs are available: sciatica, chronic lumbago, neck pain, trapezius pain, rotator cuff inflammation. Important: if your pain is deeper muscle- or joint-origin and TENS alone does not provide sufficient relief, consider the Genesy 1500, which also offers interferential (IF) current. Details: TENS.

There is a dedicated TENS program for acute knee pain and separate microcurrent programs (for knee sprain, joint pain). TENS gives quick relief for acute pain spikes; for chronic complaints a microcurrent course provides meaningful support after 2–4 weeks of regular use. User feedback often reports significant relief for knee pain. Detailed info in the microcurrent and joint inflammation article. Important: main treatment for osteoarthritis is exercise, weight control and prescribed medications — electrotherapy is a complement.

After knee replacement, ACL reconstruction, shoulder dislocation or other orthopedic surgery, muscles often weaken. The Genesy 300 Pro EMS programs actively work your muscles, even if you cannot exercise at full force due to pain. Seven rehabilitation programs are available: ACL post-op recovery, shoulder dislocation prevention, vastus medialis strength recovery, quadriceps atrophy, functional regeneration. Important: consult your treating physician about the start time and electrode placement before using post-operatively.

22 sport programs: warm-up, maximal strength development, endurance strength, explosive power, hypertrophy (muscle mass), capillarization and active regeneration (reducing post-exercise soreness). Important: the Genesy 300 Pro DOES NOT include Kotz (Russian) stimulation (this is available on the Genesy 1500 / 3000). The Genesy 600 also offers more sport programs (53 vs 22). For serious sports use choose the Genesy 600 or the Genesy 1500. EMS does NOT replace training — it complements it.

For chronic, months-old non-healing wounds (leg ulcer, chronic heel wound, diabetic foot ulcer, pressure sore) the microcurrent program (MENS/MCR) can provide meaningful support alongside standard wound care. Microcurrent is so mild you do not feel it — therefore it is suitable near sensitive, inflamed skin. Important: wound treatment is a specialist task — discuss starting treatment with your GP or wound-care specialist. Details: Leg ulcer treatment.

For chronic tendon and sheath inflammations (tennis elbow, shoulder tendinitis, rotator cuff tendinitis, carpal tunnel, tenosynovitis) dedicated TENS and microcurrent programs are available. Microcurrent can aid cellular regeneration while TENS relieves pain. Important: these conditions rarely improve quickly — plan for 4–6 weeks of regular treatment.

FES (functional electrical stimulation) programs support post-stroke rehabilitation — helping activate muscles for relearning movement. Important: the Genesy 300 Pro DOES NOT include a denervated muscle program (for peripheral paralysis with triangular/trapezoid/square pulses). For peripheral nerve injury (e.g. Bell’s palsy, peripheral polyneuropathy) choose the Genesy 600 (3 denervated programs) or the Genesy 1500 (9 denervated programs). Stroke rehab requires neurologist and physiotherapist consultation.

The iontophoresis program (channel 1) lets you deliver an anti-inflammatory, anesthetic or acetic-acid-based preparation beneath the skin — deeper than a simple cream. Typical uses: tennis elbow, heel spur, subacromial bursitis. The iontophoresis sponge insert is sold separately (not included). Important: choosing the active substance is a medical decision — consult your treating physician or pharmacist. Details: Iontophoresis.

How to use the Genesy 300 Pro at home

1

Turn on the device

After switching on, select your user profile. The device remembers your last 10 used programs and your Favorites.

2

Choose the program suitable for your complaint

From the Hungarian menu select by specific complaint (e.g. “Chronic lumbago”, “Knee pain”, “Maximum strength”). The device automatically sets the appropriate current type, frequency and pulse width.

3

Apply the electrodes

Place the self-adhesive electrodes included in the package around the painful area or on the muscle as advised by your physiotherapist. The device senses poorly adhered electrodes and will stop the current in that case.

4

Set to a comfortable level

Start the program and slowly increase intensity with the control. For TENS increase to a pleasant tingling, for EMS to a perceptible (but pain-free) muscle contraction. Microcurrent is typically not felt — that’s normal. If you feel pain, reduce immediately.

5

Rest during the session

You can sit or lie down, watch TV, read or relax. A session typically lasts 15–60 minutes — the device works automatically and stops at the end.

6

Save your favorites

Save effective programs to Favorites (15 programs per user) — next time start with a single button. If your physiotherapist recommends a custom setting, save it as your own program (Easy Program feature).

Which treatment methods are included and what are they for?

The Genesy 300 Pro contains five different electrotherapy methods. Here are the most important differences from a patient’s perspective:

  • TENS – for pain relief: a noticeable tingling on the skin that reduces pain sensation during treatment. For acute and chronic pain (back, neck, shoulder, knee, menstrual pain). 20 symptom-specific programs. Details: TENS.
  • EMS / NMES – for muscle strengthening and rehabilitation: causes visible muscle contractions that “work” the muscle even if you cannot move at full force due to pain. Post-operative rehab, sports strengthening, prevention of muscle atrophy. Details: EMS.
  • Microcurrent (MENS / MCR) – for wound healing and inflammation reduction: so mild you typically do not feel it. Supports cellular-level regeneration and inflammation reduction. 12 symptom-specific programs. Details: Microcurrent.
  • FES – for relearning movement after stroke: supports muscle activation after central paralysis to help relearn movement. Recommended only under specialist supervision.
  • Iontophoresis – for delivering anti-inflammatory agents: uses direct current to help an active substance (e.g. diclofenac, acetic acid) reach deeper beneath the skin. Typical uses: tennis elbow, heel spur. Details: Iontophoresis.

What’s important to know: the Genesy 300 Pro is Globus’s most affordable entry model, therefore it DOES NOT include:

  • Denervated muscle programs (for peripheral paralysis with triangular/trapezoid/square pulses) — these are available on the Genesy 600 (3 programs) and Genesy 1500 (9 programs).
  • Kotz (Russian) stimulation (a medium-frequency method for maximal sport strength) — available on the Genesy 1500 and Genesy 3000.
  • Interferential (IF) current (for deep muscle and joint complaints) — available on the Genesy 1500 and Genesy 3000.

If you’re unsure which method fits your complaint, read my decision-support guide: Which electrotherapy is good for what.

Video guides – watch how to use it

The four video guides apply to all 4-channel Globus devices (Genesy 300 Pro, 600, 1500, 3000). Before starting your first treatment it’s worth watching all of them — about 15 minutes total.

1st video – Device parts

Learn where the connectors are, which cable is for what (4 colored cables for general programs, 2 gray for microcurrent and iontophoresis), and how the display looks.

2nd video – Battery handling

How to charge, when to replace, what the display indicates. Important: for safety, treatment starts ONLY from the battery — it cannot be operated while connected to mains charger (the device will not turn on).

3rd video – Using the menu

Step-by-step: how to navigate the Hungarian menu, choose a program for your complaint, adjust intensity and modify settings during treatment.

4th video – Useful extra features

Saving favorites, setting profiles, locking programs (e.g. if you lend the device to an elderly family member for a single specific treatment), treating two patients at once (2+2 mode).

What’s in the box?

All essential accessories are included so you can start treatments immediately after purchase. Iontophoresis sponge inserts are sold separately.

  • 1 pc Globus Genesy 300 Pro device
  • 4 pcs colored electrode cables (for TENS, EMS and FES programs)
  • 2 pcs gray shielded cables (for microcurrent and iontophoresis programs)
  • 4 pcs 50×50 mm self-adhesive square electrodes
  • 4 pcs 50×90 mm self-adhesive rectangular electrodes
  • 1 pc battery charger
  • Built-in Ni-MH battery (7.2V / 1.8 Ah — sufficient for several hours of treatment)
  • 1 pc carrying bag
  • 1 pc Hungarian user manual (shared between Genesy 300 Pro and 600)

Self-adhesive electrodes typically last 25–30 sessions — replace them if adhesion weakens or the foil peels. The device comes with a 1-year warranty; the manufacturer recommends a check every 2 years. For optimal battery capacity check it every 6 months; if the device is unused for more than 3 months, recharge before use. Clean the device with a damp, clean cloth — a diluted sodium hypochlorite solution is suitable for disinfection (see the user manual for details).

Iontophoresis sponge insert (60 × 85 mm — for drug delivery), motor point probe (for more precise electrode placement), Y-cables — these accessories are available separately if needed for your use case. Discuss with your physiotherapist or treating physician whether any are necessary for you.

Frequently asked questions before purchase

In general, no. Electrotherapy is forbidden in patients with a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator (ICD), neural stimulator or hearing implant — only with cardiologist/arrhythmologist approval. Details in the electric treatment and implants article.

Yes, the Genesy 300 Pro is optimized for home use — compact size, Hungarian menu, symptom-specific factory programs. Before the first session consult your treating physician or physiotherapist about which program is recommended for your specific complaint. For new, worsening or unknown complaints always seek medical consultation first.

The two devices share the same physical form (160 × 99 × 35.4 mm, 404 g) and the same Hungarian menu and user interface. Differences:

  • The Genesy 600 includes a denervated muscle program (3 programs: triangular, trapezoid, square) — for peripheral nerve injury (e.g. Bell’s palsy).
  • The Genesy 600 offers more programs: 53 sport vs 22, 11 rehab vs 7.
  • The Genesy 300 Pro is sufficient for basic use: TENS, EMS, microcurrent, FES, iontophoresis — 5 current types.
  • There is a significant price difference in favor of the Genesy 300 Pro.

If your needs are basic (pain relief, muscle strengthening, wound healing, basic rehab), the Genesy 300 Pro is a good starter choice. If you need denervated muscle programs choose the Genesy 600. If you also need IF or Kotz choose the Genesy 1500.

It depends on the method. TENS: immediate pain relief during the session. EMS (muscle strengthening): 4–6 weeks of regular training. Microcurrent (wound healing, joint inflammation): changes after 2–4 weeks. Iontophoresis: 3–6 weeks. Chronic complaints require patience — it’s not like taking a painkiller. If there is no change after 6–8 weeks, consult your physician about continuing.

Yes, that’s the 2+2 mode. The 4 channels split into two groups: channels 1–2 run one program and 3–4 run another. You can treat two family members in parallel or two painful areas at once (e.g. both knees, or lower back and shoulder). Microcurrent and iontophoresis are exceptions — they do not run in 2+2.

There is no single answer — consult your treating physician. Special considerations apply near fresh sutures, screws and surgical materials. Many rehab programs can be started in the first days after surgery if the surgeon permits. EMS programs for muscle restoration are typically recommended during the active rehabilitation phase (1–6 weeks post-op).

No. Electrotherapy is an adjunct, not an alternative. EMS programs build muscle, but coordination, range-of-motion improvement and relearning movement patterns are guided by a physiotherapist. The most effective package: physiotherapy + Genesy 300 Pro electrotherapy + prescribed medication (if any).

Yes. You can save a custom program created from scratch — 15 programs per user. You can also modify frequency, pulse duration or treatment time during a running session (Run Time feature). This is useful for those whose physiotherapist prescribes personalized parameters.
