Power Q-1000 Plus Set – L-Sized Leg Cuff Pair and Pant Cuff

Accessories can be purchased separately for the device. Various types and sizes of cuffs are available. Choose the cuff suitable for the body part to be treated.

Arm, leg, and waist cuffs are designed for the respective body areas. Up to three cuffs can be connected to the device and - if health permits - used simultaneously.

The arm cuff is especially suitable for treating arm edema after breast surgery. Leg cuffs come in knee-length or thigh-length (M-L-XL sizes) and can be extended with zippers if needed. Waist cuffs are available as belts or pants for upper thigh, hip, and lower abdomen treatment.

Upper limb treatment

Lymphedema in the arm is usually unilateral – one arm cuff is generally sufficient. Athletes may use two arm cuffs to treat both arms simultaneously. Velcro fasteners secure the cuff under the underarm.

Arm cuff

Before purchase, measure your arm at the wrist, forearm, and upper arm under the underarm. Choose size M or L.

M–L arm cuff: green line and italic values=length in cm; red line and bold values=circumference in cm.

Lower limb treatment

Measure ankle, calf, knee, and thigh first. Knee-length and thigh-length cuffs (M–L–XL) are available, expandable with zippers if needed!

Half-length leg cuff

Knee-length, specifically for post-thrombotic syndrome treatment (treatment starts only 3-4 months after thrombosis). Suitable only for edema reaching foot or ankle; higher edema requires long cuff.

Thigh-length leg cuff

Ideal for lymphoedema, lipedema, varicose vein symptoms, post-thrombotic conditions, and muscle regeneration. Can be used individually or in pairs, expandable.

Trunk, buttocks and abdomen treatment

Pant and belt cuffs can be selected for upper thigh, hip, buttocks, and abdomen. These cuffs are necessary if lymphoedema extends up to the thigh. Also suitable for cosmetic treatments like cellulite and cavitation.

Pant cuff

Completely surrounds thigh, buttock, and lower abdomen. Offers a wide size range (small-medium-max) with three-row zipper. Built-in airhose; no additional airhose purchase needed.

Belt cuff

Belt-shaped with Velcro fastener. Less effective than pant cuff but cheaper. Suitable for lymphoedema and aesthetic treatments (cellulite).

Cuff combinations

Sometimes simultaneous use of multiple cuffs is advisable. Contraindicated in heart failure, infarction, cardiomyopathy, or untreated hypertension.

Before starting treatment, set appropriate pressure and duration. Pressure can be adjusted between 20 and 300 mmHg, although most treatments require only 40-60 mmHg. Duration can be set between 0 and 30 minutes; start initial treatments with 20 minutes.

The airchambers inflate in sequence - legs: ankle-calf-knee-thigh; arms: hand-forearm-elbow-upper arm - to optimize circulation improvement.

Follow safety instructions carefully. Do not use during acute deep vein thrombosis; external pressure may dislodge clots causing pulmonary embolism. Avoid use in skin infections like erysipelas as massage can spread infection.

In case of heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, or post-heart attack condition, do not exceed 40-60 mmHg pressure and use only one cuff at a time. Cancer patients should consult oncologist before treatment; avoid treating active tumors directly.

Treatment frequency and duration should be individualized. Shorter, more frequent treatments (20-30 minutes) are generally better than infrequent, longer ones. Total daily treatment time should not exceed 120 minutes on the same area.

Patience is key - lymphoedema cannot be eliminated with a single treatment. Noticeable improvement usually appears after 5-10 consecutive treatments. Regular use improves blood and lymph circulation, reduces swelling, tension, and pain.

Follow doctor or therapist instructions for pressure settings.

General guidelines:

• Low pressure (40-50 mmHg) suffices for circulation improvement; high pressure can be harmful.
• Start initial treatments at 40-50 mmHg for 20 minutes.
• Monitor and increase pressure if needed but do not exceed 60 mmHg.
• Prefer several 20-30 minute sessions rather than one long up to 120 minute session per day.
• Be patient - evaluate changes after 3-4 treatments; avoid adjusting settings every session.

Risks of improper treatment

Use 40-60 mmHg for supporting lymph and venous circulation. Higher pressure can cause micro-injuries and tissue hardening. Aggressive treatment may worsen condition - avoid high pressure!

For heart disease, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, or post-infarct conditions, never exceed 40-50 mmHg and use only one cuff to avoid overloading circulation. Avoid direct treatment of active tumors, but treating areas distant from tumors, e.g. legs in thyroid cancer patients, is acceptable.
