Blood and infusion warmer
Blood and infusion warmers are used to thaw frozen blood, plasma and stem cell preparations before use and to warm them to the temperature of administration.
- Studies have shown that gentle thawing and warming preserves the condition and materials of the preparation, thus providing a beneficial therapeutic effect.
- In intensive care, it is recommended to warm infusion solutions to body temperature. Warming a cold solution is unduly burdensome for the body of a patient who is already in a critical condition.
