DETAILS

The CarePump LITE4 is a professional device for pressotherapy (mechanical lymphatic drainage) at home. The device is easy to use and uses 4 air chamber cuffs. Developed by the Polish Society of Lymphatology, it has 4 operating modes and generates pressures between 20-220 mmHg.

Pressotherapy is recommended for a wide range of conditions including the circulatory and lymphatic systems, for athletes to speed up recovery and prevent injuries, and for aesthetic reasons such as cellulite reduction.

Lymphatic drainage has been used since the 1930s to treat oedema, but over time and with the development of equipment, other applications of drainage have been discovered: it works well as a form of active regeneration for athletes (amateurs, semi-professionals and professionals) and is increasingly found in wellness and beauty salons, where its anti-cellulite, skin tightening and slimming properties are appreciated.

Pressotherapy can be performed either manually by a trained physiotherapist (then called manual lymphatic drainage) or mechanically, using lymphatic drainage equipment.

The aims of the treatment are the same in both cases and are usually:

  • to improve blood and lymph circulation,
  • to transfer residual lymph to lymph nodes,
  • to remove lymphedema,
  • to improve the nutrition and oxygenation of the skin and other tissues.

Key features of CarePump LITE4

  • Certified by the Polish Society of Lymphatology: the device is accredited by the Medical Association of Specialists in the field of anti-oedema therapy
  • Easy to use. Convenient parameter setting thanks to the large 5" screen and dial.
  • 4 programs. The device features 4 operating modes (cuff inflation modes) developed by the Polish Society of Lymphatology.
  • Fine parameter setting. The device allows very fine adjustment of parameters, up to 1 mm Hg for pressure setting or 1 minute for time setting.
  • Possibility to switch off each chamber. This function allows you to exclude any chamber from the treatment (no pumping) in case of certain diseases and injuries.
  • Covering cuffs. The cuffs have an overlapping chamber system that prevents lymph from retracting during the procedure, making it more effective.
  • Low volume. Quiet operation, which promotes relaxation, allowing free conversation or TV watching.

Treatment modalities

  • "Mode A": a standard programme that effectively displaces oedema fluid while maintaining pressure in previously inflated air chambers.
  • "Mode B": effectively displaces oedema fluid, clot and venous blood while maintaining constant compression in previously inflated air chambers. By pumping the two air chambers step by step, the movement of lymph and blood is faster and the overall cycle can be shorter.
  • "C" mode: pumps the air chambers in the classic way - inflating the air chambers one after the other. Keeps the pressure at one when inflating the 2nd air chamber. When inflating the third air chamber, maintains the pressure in the second one, while deflating the first one. It is specifically designed for relaxation, especially for those who perform reduced physical activity during the day (long periods of work in a sitting or standing position, but without visible swelling).
  • "D" mode. After a pause, the complete cuff inflation is repeated.
