What does the Power Q-1000 Premium 4-chamber device affect? 4-chamber technology is the most researched and clinically most widely used form of pneumatic compression. The air chambers inflate and deflate sequentially from distal to proximal while "smoothing" interstitial fluid toward open lymphatic pathways along the treated limb. How to use the Power Q-1000 Premium 1 Applying the cuff Place the 4-chamber leg, arm, or trunk cuff on the treated limb. The cuff should fit snugly but not tightly. 2 Select saved program or set new parameters The protocol agreed with your treating physician will load automatically. For a new setting, use the fine controls to set pressure, time, and inflation pattern. 3 Connection and channel selection The air tube connects the cuff to the control unit. For parallel treatment of two limbs, using a splitter allows activation of up to 3 cuffs (12 air channels) simultaneously. 4 Start the treatment The 4 chambers inflate and deflate sequentially from distal to proximal to "smooth" fluid along the limb toward open lymphatic pathways. Perform seated or lying down comfortably with the limb slightly elevated. 5 Wear compression garment after treatment To maintain the IPC result, compression stockings/arming sleeves should be put on immediately after treatment. This ensures that mobilized fluid does not return. Frequently asked questions What is the difference between the Q-1000 Plus and the Q-1000 Premium? Both devices are 4-chamber home lymphatic massage machines (IPC). The Q-1000 Plus is entry-level with a simple interface and a few basic buttons. The Premium is also 4-chamber but expanded with program saving and finer pressure control. If you plan to use IPC long-term with detailed customized protocols (e.g., different settings for different indications), the Premium is useful. If a fixed setting is sufficient for a classic daily routine, the Plus is perfect. What is the difference between the Q-1000 Premium and the Q-2200? Both are 4-chamber, up to 12-channel home IPC devices and are suitable for cosmetic use. It can be used, but if you can afford a more expensive device, consider choosing a 6- or 12-chamber (Power Q-8060, 8120) device that provides finer treatment. Stage 3 treatment decisions should be made clinically with your treating physician. Can one device serve multiple patients in a clinic? No. The device is intended for one patient at a time. For hygiene, cuffs in a clinic must be properly disinfected and aired (dried) after each patient! Can I use it with an acute skin infection or suspected thrombosis? NO. In cases of acute skin infection (erysipelas, cellulitis) or suspected deep vein thrombosis, treatment must be suspended and you should seek medical attention immediately. Use can be resumed only after completion of antibiotic treatment or exclusion of thrombosis, with treating physician approval.
