Postthrombotic syndrome

In deep vein thrombosis, a blood clot (thrombus) forms in the deep veins. It usually develops in the veins of the leg or thigh and is life-threatening.

If it does, seek medical attention immediately. No home treatment should be given for a fresh thrombosis. It requires hospital treatment!

Deep vein thrombosis always heals with residual symptoms! Your legs are tense, swollen and there is a high risk of recurrence.

This already requires home treatment. Such treatments can start about 10-12 weeks after the thrombosis has subsided. This is where these devices can help.
